Indications
Mycosis of the skin, oral mucosa and eyes;
onychomycosis caused by dermatophytes, yeasts and molds;
candidiasis with lesions of the skin and mucous membranes, including vulvovaginal candidiasis;
pityriasis versicolor;
systemic mycoses, incl. aspergillosis (with resistance or poor tolerance of amphotericin B), cryptococcosis (including cryptococcal meningitis), histoplasmosis, sporotrichosis, paracoccidioidomycosis, blastomycosis.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Special instructions
When taking Orungamin for more than 1 month, it is necessary to monitor liver function.
Composition
1 capsule contains:
Active ingredient: itraconazole 100 mg.
Method of administration and dosage
For optimal absorption of itraconazole, Orungamine should be taken immediately after meals. The capsules should be swallowed whole.
The average dose of Orungamin is 100 mg once a day.
Side effects
From the digestive tract: dyspepsia, nausea, abdominal pain, anorexia, vomiting, constipation, increased liver transaminase activity, hepatitis, in very rare cases - severe toxic liver damage, incl. a case of acute liver failure with a fatal outcome.
From the nervous system and sensory organs: headache, dizziness, peripheral neuropathy, fatigue, drowsiness.
From the side of the cardiovascular system and blood (hematopoiesis, hemostasis): arterial hypertension. Cases of chronic heart failure associated with itraconazole have been reported.
From the genitourinary system: dysmenorrhea, edema syndrome, albuminuria, dark urine staining.
Allergic reactions: itching, rash, urticaria, angioedema, Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
Others: alopecia, hypokalemia, pulmonary edema, decreased libido, impotence.
