DESCRIPTION
Iodopen (Iodopen) - a drug in the form of suppositories, intended for the treatment and prevention of postpartum endometritis in cows and sows. Iodopen in appearance is a brown suppository of a cylindrical or elliptical shape, a solid consistency, with a faint smell of iodine.

COMPOSITION
Iodopen in 1 suppository contains 1.5 g of povidone iodine (1.57% of active iodine) as an active ingredient, and as auxiliary components: polyethylene glycol, sodium bicarbonate, citric or fumaric acid, calcium stearate, lactose.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Iodopene has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, improves proliferative processes in the genitals, and shortens the recovery time of animals. Iodine, which is part of Iodopen, combines with proteins of the microbial cell, blocking its respiratory enzymes.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Before the introduction of Iodopen, the external genital organs and the root of the tail are sanitized. Suppositories are injected into the uterine cavity by hand, wearing a disposable plastic glove. Iodopen is administered intrauterinely, one suppository at a time: for therapeutic purposes, twice with an interval of 24 - 48 hours, in special cases, the administration is continued until recovery; with a prophylactic purpose, once immediately after the separation of the placenta, abortion or obstetrics. It is not recommended to simultaneously administer two suppositories of the drug.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Milk obtained from cows during treatment and within 24 hours after the last injection of Iodopen is used in animal feed after boiling. The use of milk for human consumption is allowed no earlier than 24 hours after the last administration of Iodopen. The meat is used without restrictions. All work with the medicinal product should be carried out in compliance with the rules of personal hygiene and safety measures provided for when working with veterinary medicinal products. The use of empty medicine bags for food purposes is prohibited.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
The use of Iodopen does not exclude the use of other systemic drugs (stimulating tone and contractile activity of the uterus).
SIDE EFFECTS
Side effects and complications during the period of application of Iodopen in accordance with the instructions for use have not been established.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
Iodopene is stored in the manufacturer's packaging, with caution (list B), in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight, at a temperature of 4 В° C to 25 В° C.
The shelf life under the specified storage conditions is 18 months from the date of manufacture. It is forbidden to use Iodopen after the expiration date. Iodopene should be stored out of the reach of children.

It is produced in packs of 2 suppositories in bags with a hermetic seal made of polyethylene film, packed in a cardboard box.
