Pharmacological action

Antiseptic solution Dr. Iodine is an antiseptic drug, its antimicrobial effect is based on iodine damage to the cell wall of pathogenic microorganisms. Released from the complex with polyvinylpyrrolidone upon contact with biological material, iodine forms iodamines with bacterial cells, coagulates them and causes the death of microorganisms. Dr. Iodine antiseptic solution - has antimicrobial activity against gram-positive (including tuberculosis microbacteria) and gram-negative bacteria, yeast-like fungi of the genus Candida, Trichophyton, as well as viruses (Coxsackie, ECHO, polio, hepatitis A, B, C, etc., HIV, flu , including H5N1, H1N1, herpes, adenoviruses, etc.). The antiseptic solution Dr. Iodine has a longer effect compared to conventional alcoholic solutions of iodine.

Indications

The solution is used externally:

for antiseptic treatment of the skin.

Contraindications

It is not recommended for persons with individual hypersensitivity to iodine (iodism). Hypersensitivity for oral administration - pulmonary tuberculosis, nephritis, furunculosis, acne, chronic pyoderma, hemorrhagic diathesis, urticaria, pregnancy, children (up to 5 years).

Special instructions

Use only for external use. When the first signs of side effects appear, the use of the drug is urgently stopped.

Pharmaceutically incompatible with essential oils, ammonia solutions, white sedimentary mercury (formed). Alkaline or acidic environment, the presence of fat, pus, blood weaken antiseptic activity. It weakens the hypothyroid and strumogenic effects of lithium preparations.
