DESCRIPTION

Cylindrical sticks with a pointed end are dark brown in color with the smell of ichthyol, elastic consistency, with a melting temperature of 35-37 В° C.

COMPOSITION

Ichthyol (ammonium salt of shale oil sulfonic acids) and polyethylene oxide base.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Ichthyol, which is part of the drug, due to the aromatic compounds contained in it and organically bound sulfur, has antimicrobial, antiparasitic, anti-inflammatory, hemostatic, local anesthetic and keratoplastic effect. The polyethylene oxide base also has anti-inflammatory effects.

INDICATIONS

For the treatment and prevention of inflammatory processes of the uterus in cows, sheep and goats after childbirth, cesarean section, surgical separation of the placenta, with postpartum endometritis.

APPLICATION AND DOSAGE

Injected into the uterine cavity:

for therapeutic purposes: cows - 3-5 sticks, sheep and goats - 1-2 sticks every 24 hours until clinical recovery (but no more than 5 times);

for prophylactic purposes (after providing obstetrics or surgical separation of the placenta): cows - 3-5 sticks, sheep and goats - 1-2 sticks once.

LIMITATIONS

The use of milk for food purposes is allowed 2 days after the last injection of the drug. The use of meat for food purposes is allowed 2 days after the last injection of the drug.

STORAGE
