Inspector Quadro drops for dogs 4-10 kg
DESCRIPTION
Inspector Quadro C is a veterinary drug for dogs. In appearance, the drug is a transparent from colorless to yellow oily liquid.
COMPOSITION
Inspector Quadro S in 1 ml contains fipronil - 107 mg, praziquantel - 42.8 mg, moxidectin - 26.75 mg and pyriproxyfen - 21.4 mg as active ingredients, as well as auxiliary substances: diethylene glycol monoethyl ether (DEME), N - methylpyrrolidone, butylhydroxyanisole and butylhydroxytoluene.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Inspector Kvadro S belongs to the pharmacotherapeutic group - antiparasitic agents in combinations.
The active ingredients included in the preparation provide its wide range of antiparasitic action against sarcoptoid ticks (Sarcoptes canis, Otodectes cynotis), demodectic ticks (Demodex canis), fleas (Ctenocephalides canis), lice (Linognatus setotus), lice eaters (Trichodecids) ticks (Dermacentor spp., Rhipicephalus spp., Ixodes spp.); larval and sexually mature phases of development of nematodes (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina, Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum, Trichocephalus vulpis), cestodes (Taenia spp., Echinococcus granulosus, latylidium caninum, Dyphyliso caninum, Diphylloboth and Dirofilaria repens, parasitic in dogs.
Fipronil is an insectoacaricide of the phenylpyrazole group, its mechanism of action is to block arthropod receptors, impair the transmission of nerve impulses and the activity of the nervous system, which leads to paralysis and death of ectoparasites.
Praziquantel is a compound of the pyrazinisoquinoline group, has a pronounced effect against sexually mature and immature cestodes; the mechanism of its action is based on inducing the breakdown of tegument and inhibition of fumarate reductase, persistent depolarization of muscle cells of the helminth, disruption of energy metabolism, which causes paralysis and death of cestodes and promotes their excretion from the gastrointestinal tract.
Moxidectin is a semisynthetic compound of the milbemycin group (macrocyclic lactones), which stimulates the release of gamma-aminobutyric acid and, by binding to postsynaptic receptors, causes disruption of muscle innervation, paralysis and death of ectoparasites and nematodes.
Pyriproxyfen, disrupting the hormonal balance of arthropods, causes developmental abnormalities and sterilization of adults. The mechanism of action of pyriproxyfen consists in disrupting the processes of chitin synthesis and molting of larvae, interferes with the development of full-fledged pupae, causes the death of insects in the preimaginal phases of development, which leads to the termination of the replacement of the population of ectoparasites.
After cutaneous application, fipronil and pyriproxifen, which are part of the Inspector Quadro S preparation, quickly spread over the surface of the epidermis and have a contact insectoacaricidal effect, preventing insect and tick infestation. Moxidectin and praziquantel enter the systemic circulation, are distributed in organs and tissues and have a systemic antiparasitic effect on intestinal nematodes, cestodes, dirofilaria larvae migrating in the bloodstream, and also sarcoptoid, demodectic and ixodid ticks. Insectoacaricidal and anthelmintic effect of the drug after a single treatment lasts 4-6 weeks.
Inspector Quadro S in terms of the degree of impact on the body refers to substances 'moderately hazardous' (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007-76), in recommended doses it does not have skin irritating, resorptive-toxic and sensitizing effects. The drug is toxic to rabbits, bees, fish and other aquatic organisms.
PURPOSE
Inspector Kvadro S is prescribed to dogs for the treatment and prevention of entomoses, demodicosis, otodectosis, sarcoptic mange, acarosis caused by ixodid ticks, nematoses of the gastrointestinal tract (toxocariasis, toxascariasis, uncinariosis, ankylostomiasis, trichocelocephalitis, dystociaphosis mesocestoidosis), associative nematode-cestoid invasions, and in order to prevent dirofilariasis.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Inspector Quadro S is used in dogs by applying to dry, intact skin, in the doses indicated in the table:

When treating dogs weighing more than 60 kg, the drug is used at the rate of O, 1 ml per kilogram of animal weight, using a combination of pipettes of various packaging, when treating dogs weighing less than 1 kg - at the rate of one drop of solution (0.05 ml) per 0.5 kg of animal weight.
To destroy fleas, lice and lice and ixodid ticks, the drug is applied by spreading the fur, drip (spot-on) to the skin in places inaccessible for licking - between the shoulder blades at the base of the neck. When processing large dogs, the contents of the pipette are applied in 3-4 places. For therapeutic purposes, the treatment of animals is carried out once, to prevent re-invasion - once every 4 to 6 weeks throughout the season of ectoparasite activity.
In order to prevent re-infestation by fleas, animals are replaced by bedding or treated with an approved insecticidal agent in accordance with the instructions for use.
The acaricidal effect of the drug manifests itself after 12 - 24 hours, taking into account this, the treatment should be carried out no later than 24 hours before the intended walking of the animal in the places where ixodid ticks may inhabit (parks, squares, forests).
To destroy the sucked ixodid ticks on the body of the animal, Inspector Quadro S in the amount of 1 drop is applied to the tick and the place of its attachment to the skin. If the tick does not spontaneously fall off within 20 minutes, it is carefully pulled out of the skin with tweezers and destroyed.
For the treatment of otodectosis, the external auditory canal is cleaned of scabs and crusts, then 3-5 drops of the drug are instilled into each ear (drops must be injected into both ears), the auricle is folded in half lengthwise and its base is massaged. The remainder of the drug in the pipette used (based on the weight of the animal) is applied to the skin between the shoulder blades. Processing is carried out 2-3 times with an interval of 7-1 O days. In case of complication of otitis media, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory drugs are prescribed.
If necessary, the course of treatment is repeated after 1 month under the control of microscopy of scrapings.
In the case of a perforation of the tympanic membrane, the drug is applied by drip application to the skin between the shoulder blades at the base of the neck at the doses indicated in the table.
In case of sarcoptic mange and demodectic mange, Inspector Quadro S is applied in a thin layer to the affected areas of the body previously cleaned of scabs, with the capture of borderline healthy skin up to 1 cm2 at the rate of O, 1 ml / kg of animal weight.
Processing is carried out 2 - 4 times with an interval of 7 - 1 O days. Animals with extensive lesions are treated in two doses with an interval of 1 day, applying the drug to the affected areas first of one and then the other half of the body.
To prevent licking of the drug, the animal is put on a muzzle, a neck collar, or the jaws are closed with a loop of tape, which are removed 20 minutes after applying the drug.
Treatment is recommended to be carried out in a complex manner with the use of pathogenetic and symptomatic drugs until the animal's clinical recovery, which is confirmed by two negative results of microscopic examinations of scrapings.
For deworming animals, Inspector Quadro S is used by applying to the skin in the doses indicated in the table, for therapeutic purposes once, for prophylactic purposes - once a month.
In order to prevent dirofilariasis in regions unfavorable for the disease, the drug is used in the spring-summer-autumn period: before the beginning of summer mosquitoes and mosquitoes (carriers of the pathogen D. immitis) once, then once a month and the last time in the season 1 month after the end of the flight insects.
Inspector Quadro S does not destroy sexually mature dirofilariae, but reduces the number of microfilariae circulating in the blood, and can also be used safely on infested animals.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
A contraindication to the use of Inspector Quadro S is the individual hypersensitivity of the animal to its components.
Auricular use of the drug (for ear scabies) is not allowed when the tympanic membrane is perforated. Patients with infectious diseases and weakened animals cannot be processed. Handling of collie, bobtail, sheltie dogs sensitive to macrocyclic lactones and animals weighing less than 1 kg should be carried out under the supervision of a veterinarian.
Puppies under 7 weeks of age should not be processed. Treatment of bitches during pregnancy and feeding of offspring, if necessary, is carried out with caution under the supervision of a veterinarian.
SIDE EFFECTS
As a rule, there are no side effects and complications when using Inspector Kvadro S in accordance with this instruction. In rare cases, individual skin reactions (redness, itching) are possible, which disappear spontaneously and do not require the use of drugs.
