In appearance it is a clear, oily, colorless or light yellow liquid.
COMPOSITION
As an active ingredient it contains moxidectin - 5.2 mg / ml, and as auxiliary substances: diethylene glycol monoethyl ether (DEME), polyethylene glycol (PEG-400), butylhydroxyanisole, butylhydroxytoluene.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Inspector Mini belongs to the group of antiparasitic drugs.
The active ingredients included in the preparation provide its wide spectrum of antiparasitic action against fleas (Ctenocephalides felis, Ctenocephalide cams), lice (Trichodectes cams), sarcoptoid (Notoedres cati, Otodectes cynotis) and ixodid (Dermacentice sppor spp. ) ticks, larval and mature phases of nematode development, including Toxocara cati, Toxascaris leonina, Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum, and larvae L3 and L4 (microfilariae) Dirofilaria immitis parasitizing in dogs.
Fipronil is an insectoacaricide of the phenylpyrazole group, its mechanism of action is to block GABA-dependent receptors in arthropods, impair the transmission of nerve impulses and the activity of the nervous system, which leads to paralysis and death of ectoparasites.
Moxidectin is a semisynthetic compound of the milbemycin group (macrocyclic lactones), which stimulates the release of gamma-aminobutyric acid and binds to postsynaptic receptors, causing disruption of muscle innervation, paralysis and death of ectoparasites and nematodes.
The inspector for dogs, according to the degree of impact on the body, belongs to moderately hazardous substances (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007-76), in the recommended doses it does not have a local irritant, resorptive-toxic and sensitizing effect. The drug is toxic to rabbits, bees, fish and other aquatic organisms.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
In case of entomoses, ixodidosis and nematodes, Inspector Mini is applied to animals by spot-on application onto dry intact skin in places inaccessible for licking - between the shoulder blades at the base of the neck. Break off or cut off the top of the pipette and apply in the doses indicated in the table:
Kind of animal Animal weight, kg Drug dose, ml DB quantity, mg / kg
Dogs, puppies 0.5 - 2.0 0,4 1-4
Cats, kittens 0.5 - 2.0 0,4 1-4
When processing animals weighing more than 2 kg, the drug is used in a dose of 0.2 ml per 1 kg of body weight.
To destroy fleas, lice, lice, and ixodid ticks, animals are treated once, to prevent re-invasion - once a month throughout the season of ectoparasite activity.
In order to prevent re-infestation by fleas, animals are replaced by bedding or treated with an approved insecticidal agent in accordance with the instructions for use.
To destroy adhered ixodid ticks on the body of the animal, the drug in the amount of 1 drop is applied to the tick and the place of its attachment to the skin. If the tick does not spontaneously fall off within 20 minutes, it is carefully pulled out of the skin with tweezers and destroyed.
For the treatment of otodectosis, the external auditory canal is cleaned of scabs and crusts, then 3 drops of the drug are instilled into each ear (drops must be injected into both ears), the auricle is folded in half lengthwise and its base is massaged. The remainder of the drug in the pipette used (based on the weight of the animal) is applied to the skin between the shoulder blades.
The treatment is carried out 2 times with an interval of 7 days.
With otodectosis complicated by otitis media, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory drugs are prescribed. If necessary, the course of treatment is repeated after 1 month under the control of microscopy of scrapings from the inner surface of the auricle. In the case of perforation of the tympanic membrane, the drug is used by drip application to the skin between the shoulder blades at the base of the neck at the dose indicated in the table.
With sarcoptic mange, notoedrosis and demodicosis, the treatment is carried out 2-4 times with an interval of 7 days until the animal is clinically recovered. Treatment is recommended to be carried out in a complex manner with the use of pathogenetic and symptomatic drugs until the animal's clinical recovery, which is confirmed by two negative results of microscopic examinations of scrapings.
For deworming animals, the drug is used by drip application to the skin for therapeutic purposes once, for prophylactic purposes - once a month at the doses indicated in the table.
In order to prevent dirofilariasis in regions unfavorable for the disease, the drug is used in the spring-summer-autumn period, before the beginning of summer mosquitoes (carriers of D. immitis, D. repens pathogens) once, then once a month and the last time in the season 1 month after completion of the flight of insects.
Inspector Mini does not destroy sexually mature dirofilariae, but it reduces the number of microfilariae circulating in the blood and can also be used safely on infested animals.
The drug should not be applied to damp or damaged skin, wash the animal within 4 days after treatment with the drug.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
The drug should not be applied to damp or damaged skin, wash the animal within 4 days after treatment with the drug.
