PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Fipronil and diflubenzuron, the insect growth regulator, which are part of the collar, have a pronounced activity against the larval and mature phases of development of fleas, lice, lice, and ixodid ticks parasitizing dogs and cats. Gradually standing out from the surface of the collar, the active components are transferred to the skin and hair of the animal. Fipronil, not being absorbed into the systemic circulation, accumulates in the epidermis, hair follicles and sebaceous glands of the animal's skin, and released onto the skin surface together with the secretion of the glands has a long-term contact and intestinal insectoacaricidal effect. The insect growth regulator inhibits the growth of integumentary tissues in parasites, disrupting the development of the larva in the egg, moulting of larvae, prevents the development of full-fledged pupae and causes the death of insects and ticks in the preimaginal phases of development.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

After opening the package, the collar is unfolded and put on the animal, adjusting in size so that a gap of 1.0–1.5 cm remains between the animal's neck and the collar, then the free end of the tape is passed through the retainer and the excess collar is cut off. Continuous use of the Bars insecticide-acaricidal collar protects dogs and cats from fleas, lice, hairballs for at least 5 months, from ixodid ticks for at least 4 months. In the first days of using the collar, an attack and attachment of ixodid ticks to an animal is possible, but after 1 day the parasites die and dry up or spontaneously disappear.

In case of a strong infection of the animal with insects, before using the collar, it is recommended to wash the animal with an insecticidal zoo shampoo Lugovoy or Bars, and treat the bedding with an insecticidal spray Bars or Bars Forte in accordance with the instructions for use.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Not recommended for pregnant women in the last third of pregnancy and lactating females, sick with infectious diseases and recovering animals, as well as puppies and kittens younger than 2 months of age.

SIDE EFFECTS

In rare cases, with increased individual sensitivity of the animal to fipronil, individual reactions are possible (excessive salivation, lacrimation, muscle tremors, vomiting, skin irritation). In these cases, the use of the collar is discontinued.

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE

In closed manufacturer's packaging, protected from direct sunlight, separate from food and feed, at temperatures from 0 to 25 C. Keep out of the reach of children.
