Indications

Emergency prevention and treatment of tick-borne encephalitis.

Contraindications

Allergic reactions to human blood products.

Severe allergic reactions in the history of administration of human blood products. Persons suffering from allergic diseases (bronchial asthma, atopic dermatitis, recurring urticaria) or who have had previously clinically expressed reactions to any allergens (food, drugs, etc.), the drug is administered while taking antihistamines. It is recommended to continue their use for 8 days after the last injection of immunoglobulin. Persons suffering from systemic diseases (blood diseases, connective tissue, nephritis, etc.), immunoglobulin should be administered against the background of appropriate therapy.

Special instructions

For people suffering from allergic diseases, it is possible to administer immunoglobulin against a three-day course of antihistamines.

After administration of immunoglobulin, the patient should be under medical supervision for at least 30 minutes.

Dosage and administration of

For 2 hours prior to the injection, the ampoules with the preparation are kept at room temperature for 20 ± 2 РC. The opening of the ampoules and the vaccination procedure are carried out with strict observance of the rules of asepsis and antiseptics. Unsuitable preparations in ampoules with impaired integrity, labeling, when changing physical properties (color, transparency, unbreakable flakes), with an expired shelf life, with improper storage.

To avoid the formation of foam, draw the drug into the syringe with a needle with a wide clearance.

For treatment, 3 ml are injected IM every 10-12 hours during the first 3 days. In severe forms of the disease, the introduction of immunoglobulin in the same doses continues until the temperature drops.

Emergency prophylaxis is given to people who have noticed that ticks are being sucked in areas endemic to tick-borne encephalitis or where laboratory infection is suspected. Immunoglobulin is administered intramuscularly once, 1 dose - 1 ml of a 10% solution containing the specified protein fraction. Children under 12 years old - 1 ml 12-16 years old - 2 ml from 16 years of age and older - 3 ml. In case of reinfection, administration of immunoglobulin is possible 1 month after the first administration of

Side effects

Rarely: local reaction in the form of minor hyperemia. Elevated temperatures to 37.5 РC rarely lasts more than 24 hours after administration.

In isolated cases: allergic reactions, anaphylactic shock.

Storage conditions

At 2–8 РC (do not freeze).

Keep out of the reach of children.

Expiration

2 years.
