Pharmacodynamics
Anti-inflammatory agent, has an antimicrobial (bactericidal against Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes) keratoplastic effect. Accelerates the maturation of boils. With a direct action on the skin, it causes a slight irritation of the sensitive nerve endings, followed by a decrease in their sensitivity, which leads to the appearance of reflexes that change the trophism of tissues. Causes denaturation of protein molecules.

Due to the low systemic absorption, there are no data on the pharmacokinetics of ichtammol.
