The drug is used to treat functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract

• (including irritable bowel syndrome), manifested by severity in the epigastric region,

• stomach or intestinal cramps

• belching

• nausea

• flatulence

• constipation, diarrhea or alternation

• as well as in the complex therapy of gastritis, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer.

Inside, 20 drops 3 times a day, before or during meals, with a little water.

The drug has a pronounced anti-inflammatory effect, and also normalizes the tone of smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract: it helps to eliminate spasm without affecting normal peristalsis, and with reduced tone and motility it has a tonic, prokinetic effect. In an in vitro experiment, it inhibits the growth of 6 subspecies of Helicobacter pylori. IberogastЃ reduces the intensity of ulceration of the gastric mucosa, the secretion of hydrochloric acid, reduces the concentration of leukotrienes, enhances the production of mucins, increases the concentration of mucoprotective prostaglandin E2 in the gastric mucosa.

The content of ethyl alcohol in the composition of the preparation ranges from 29.5 to 32.6% (by volume). When taking 1 single dose (20 drops), the patient receives up to 0.24 g of absolute ethyl alcohol. The maximum daily dose of the drug (60 drops) contains up to 0.72 g of absolute ethyl alcohol, which is lower than the alcohol content in 200 ml of apple juice or 75 ml of kefir. Despite this, when using the drug, care should be taken when performing potentially hazardous activities that require an increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (including driving vehicles, working with driving mechanisms, the work of a dispatcher and an operator).During storage, slight turbidity or slight precipitation is possible, which does not affect the therapeutic efficacy of the drug. Shake the contents of the bottle before use.
