DESCRIPTION
Hypodectin-N is a solution for the prevention and treatment of hypodermatosis in cattle, a disease caused by subcutaneous gadflies.
COMPOSITION
A colorless or light yellow transparent liquid with a faint odor, which is a 0.01% solution of ivermectin (22.23 - dihydroavermectin B1) in organic solvents.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Hypodectin-N has a systemic and contact effect on the larvae of subcutaneous gadflies of cattle. Entering the body of the larva, it stimulates the release of the neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric acid by the nerve endings and strengthens its connection with the receptors of nerve cells, thereby blocking the passage of nerve impulses and causing paralysis, and then the death of the parasite in the animal's body.
Low toxicity for warm-blooded animals: LD50 of the drug for white mice after oral administration - 7.8 g / kg of body weight.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
It is applied from a dosing device (semiautomatic syringe, etc.) onto the back in a thin stream, gently spreading it along the spine from the withers to the sacrum, avoiding runoff.
Dose for animals weighing up to 150 kg - 10 ml, more than 150 kg - 15 ml per animal once.
Before use, the drug must be kept for warming at room temperature.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed no earlier than 5 days after the use of the drug. In case of forced slaughter earlier than this period, the meat can be used as feed for carnivores or for processing into meat and bone meal. Milk from processed cows is used without restriction.
Animal handling is carried out by a veterinarian, veterinarian or specially trained persons under their supervision. Work is carried out in robes, rubber boots and gloves, in well-ventilated rooms, in dry weather - outdoors.
During work, it is not allowed to smoke, eat or drink. In case of accidental contact of the drug on the skin, wash it off immediately with soap and water. If the drug gets into the eyes, they are washed with clean water.
After work, it is necessary to remove overalls, wash face and hands with soap, rinse mouth with water. Rubber boots and gloves are treated with 5% soda ash solution and then washed with water.
Empty containers from Hypodectin-N are not allowed to be used for other purposes, they must be destroyed by incineration.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
It should not be applied to wet skin and hair and areas of the back covered with manure and dirt.
Do not drive treated animals outside for 10-12 hours in rainy and snowy weather.
Failure to comply with these conditions may reduce the effectiveness of the drug.
