Pharmacological action
Tonsilotren is a homeopathic medicine used in acute and chronic tonsillitis. The drug has an anti-inflammatory effect, stimulates the regeneration processes, helps to reduce hypertrophic tonsils. It stimulates the immune system.
Indications
Acute tonsillitis (catarrhal, lacunar, follicular)
chronic tonsillitis
to accelerate the healing of the pharyngeal mucosa after tonsillectomy (in complex therapy).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to chromium or other components of Tonsilotren.
It is not recommended to use the drug for children under 3 years of age due to insufficient clinical data.
Precautions - hyperthyroidism.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Use of Tonsilotren during pregnancy and during breastfeeding is possible if the expected effect of therapy exceeds the potential risk to the fetus (baby).
Special instructions
When using homeopathic medicines at the beginning of treatment, temporary deterioration is possible. In this case, you should stop taking and consult a doctor.
Composition
1 tablet contains:
Active substances: Atropinum sulfuricum D5 12.5 mg, Hepar sulfuris D3 10 mg, Kalium bichromicum D4 50 mg, Silicea D2 5 mg, Mercurius bijodatus D8 25 mg
Excipients: lactose monohydrate sucrose magnesium stearate.
Dosage and administration
Tonsilotren is taken orally, slowly absorbed, half an hour before or half an hour after eating. Children 3-5 years old should dissolve the tablet in a small amount of liquid or give it in crushed form, under the tongue.
In the acute course of the disease, for adults and children after 12 years - 1 tablet every hour for 1-2 days (no more than 12 times a day) until improvement occurs, then - 1-2 tablets 3 times a day until the children recover completely 3-12 years - 1 tablet every 2 hours for 1–2 days (no more than 8 times a day) until improvement occurs, then - 1 tablet 3 times a day until complete recovery.
In chronic tonsillitis, for adults and children after 12 years - 1-2 tablets 3 times a day for children 3-12 years old - 1 tablet 3 times a day. Duration of admission is 6-8 weeks.
Recommended repeated courses of treatment (several times a year) after consultation with a doctor.
Side effects
Perhaps increased salivation (you must reduce the dose or stop taking the drug). In isolated cases - allergic skin reactions (itching, rashes).
Storage conditions
