• dementia syndrome of various origins, incl. Alzheimer's disease; ischemic stroke (early and late recovery period);

• chorea of ??Gettington; senile pseudomelancholia.

Inside: 400 mg 3 times / day, the course of treatment is 3-6 months. IM or IV: 1 g / day.

choline alfoscerate

• Pregnancy,

• hypersensitivity to choline alfoscerate.

pharmachologic effect

Cholinomimetic. It is a precursor to acetylcholine. It has an effect mainly on cholinergic receptors in the central nervous system. Glycerophosphate, which is formed during the breakdown of choline alfoscerate, is a precursor of phospholipids (phosphatidylcholine) of the neuron membrane. Facilitates the transmission of nerve impulses in cholinergic neurons, improves the plasticity of neuronal membranes and receptor function.

Side effect

Nausea is possible.

Application during pregnancy and lactation

Contraindicated during pregnancy, lactation.
