DESCRIPTION
Geksakanivac is a vaccine against canine plague, parvovirus enteritis, infectious hepatitis, adenovirus and leptospirosis in dogs. Dosage form: dry component - lyophilized mass, liquid component - suspension for injection (solvent for the dry component). In appearance, the dry component of the vaccine is a dry amorphous mass of light yellow color with a pinkish tinge; the liquid component is a homogeneous suspension of pink color, which forms a loose light gray precipitate during storage, which easily breaks down when shaken.
COMPOSITION
The dry component of the vaccine is made from a live attenuated plague of carnivorous virus strain 'Rockbourne', lyophilized in a sucrose-gelatinous medium.
The liquid component is made from canine parvovirus strain 'D-1', canine adenovirus of the second serotype strain 'LT' and leptospira serological groups Icterohaemorrhagiae strain 'VGNKI-2' and Canicola strain 'VGNKI-3', with the addition of formalin as inactivator and aluminum hydroxide gel as an adjuvant.
BIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
The vaccine induces the formation of immunity in dogs to plague of carnivores, parvovirus enteritis, infectious hepatitis, adenovirosis and leptospirosis 21 days after two doses of the vaccine in puppies and a single dose in adult dogs, lasting 12 months.
In one immunizing dose of the vaccine, the content of canine distemper virus is not less than 103.5TCD50, canine parvovirus not less than 103.0 GAU, adenovirus not less than 103.0 GAU, leptospira serogroups Icterohaemorrhagiae and Canicola not less than 3x108.0 microbial cells.
The vaccine is harmless and has no medicinal properties.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
The vaccine is intended for immunization of dogs against canine distemper, parvovirus enteritis, infectious hepatitis, adenovirosis and leptospirosis.
Dogs are immunized from 60 days of age. The vaccine is administered twice, with an interval of 2-3 weeks, subcutaneously or intramuscularly. Before immunization, the dry component of the vaccine is dissolved in the liquid one. To do this, 1.2 cm3 of the liquid component is introduced into the bottle with the dry component using a sterile syringe when vaccinating dogs weighing up to 5 kg and 2.2 cm3 of the liquid component when vaccinating dogs weighing more than 5 kg, shake thoroughly until complete dissolution and the formation of a homogeneous suspension.
The next vaccination is carried out once after the change of teeth in the same doses.
Revaccination of dogs is carried out once a year.
Dogs are dewormed 10 days before vaccination. The use of specific sera and immunoglobulins is stopped two weeks before vaccination.
Syringes and needles are sterilized by boiling for 20 minutes. Chemical sterilization of syringes and needles is not permitted. The use of disposable syringes is recommended. The injection site is not processed.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Symptoms of the manifestation of plague of carnivores, parvovirus enteritis, infectious hepatitis, adenovirosis and leptospirosis or other pathological signs in case of an overdose of the vaccine have not been established. A slight swelling may form, which disappears on its own within three days.
In rare cases, dogs may have decreased appetite and lethargy after vaccination.
Violation of the vaccination schedule should be avoided, as this can lead to a decrease in the effectiveness of immunoprophylaxis of carnivorous plague, parvovirus enteritis, infectious hepatitis, adenovirosis and leptospirosis. If the next vaccine injection is missed, it is necessary to immunize as soon as possible.
During the formation of tense immunity, you should avoid walking dogs in places where other animals were.
The timing of the possible use of products of animal origin after the application of the vaccine is not established.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
It is forbidden to vaccinate clinically sick and / or weakened animals with increased body temperature, puppies up to 60 days of age, puppies during the period of changing teeth, pregnant bitches in the second half of pregnancy.
SIDE EFFECTS
The use of the vaccine in accordance with this instruction guarantees against complications. Simultaneous vaccination against rabies with a separate sterile syringe on the other side, subcutaneously in the area of ​​the scapula or intramuscularly is allowed.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
The shelf life of the vaccine is 12 months from the date of issue, subject to storage and transportation conditions. After the expiration date, the vaccine is not suitable for use.
The vaccine is stored and transported in a dry dark place at a temperature of 2 to 10 В° C in places inaccessible to children.
PACKAGING
The dry component of the vaccine is packaged in 1 dose in vials of appropriate capacity, filled with inert gas, hermetically sealed with rubber stoppers, reinforced with aluminum caps.
The liquid component of the vaccine is packaged in 1 dose (2.2 ml) in vials of appropriate capacity, filled with inert gas, hermetically sealed with rubber stoppers, reinforced with aluminum caps.
