DESCRIPTION

A medicinal product in the form of a solution for injection, used for dehydration and intoxication of the body of animals. In appearance, it is a clear colorless or slightly yellowish liquid.

COMPOSITION

A 40% glucose solution for injection contains 40 g of crystalline medical glucose or crystalline hydrate glucose as an active ingredient in 100 ml, and water for injection as a solvent.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

In veterinary medicine, a hypertonic glucose solution is used for injections, which increase osmotic blood pressure, improve metabolic processes, antitoxic liver function and heart function, dilate blood vessels, and increase diuresis. Glucose stimulates the synthesis of hormones and enzymes, increases the defenses of the animal body.

After administration, the drug is rapidly absorbed and spreads through the organs and tissues of the animal. According to the degree of effect on the body, Glucose 40% solution for injection according to GOST 12.1.007-76 belongs to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4).

APPLICATION

Glucose 40% solution is used in animals with large body fluid losses (bleeding, toxic dyspepsia), symptoms of shock, intoxication, metritis, vaginitis, as well as for dissolving various drugs. Glucose 40% is administered intravenously. Depending on the severity of the disease, the drug is administered to animals 1-2 times a day in the following doses (ml per animal):

Doses and periods of drug use depend on the weight of the animal and the course of the disease.

Do not mix with hexamethylenetetramine (urotropine) in the same syringe.

STORAGE
