DESCRIPTION
Globfel-4 (Globfel-4) - liquid for injection against panleukopenia, infectious rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and chlamydia in cats. In appearance, globulin is a colorless or slightly yellowish, transparent or opalescent liquid. During long-term storage, a slight sediment may fall out to the bottom of the bottle (ampoule), which, when shaken, easily breaks up into a uniform suspension.
COMPOSITION
Globfel-4 contains gamma and beta globulin fractions of blood serum from horses hyperimmunized with production strains of panleukopenia viruses, infectious rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and feline chlamydia.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Globulin Globfel-4, when administered prophylactically to cats and other felines, provides passive immunity to panleukopenia, infectious rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and chlamydia, which lasts up to two weeks.
After this period, vaccination is carried out to create active immunity.
Globfel-4 possesses medicinal properties, which are maximally manifested in the incubation and prodromal periods of the infectious process.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Globfel-4 is intended for the prevention and treatment of panleukopenia, infectious rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and chlamydia in cats and other felines. The greatest therapeutic effect is achieved when using the drug in the initial (to terminal) stages of disease.
Globfel-4 is administered subcutaneously.
For the prevention of viral infections, cats weighing up to 10 kg are injected with 1.0 ml, over 10 kg - 2.0 ml of the drug once.
For therapeutic purposes, Globfel-4 is administered subcutaneously in the indicated doses 2-4 times with an interval of 12-24 hours, depending on the severity of the animal's condition.
When using the drug, you must follow the rules of asepsis.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Symptoms of panleukopenia, infectious rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and chlamydia in animals with globulin overdose are not aggravated when used in the initial stages of the disease.
Slight soreness is allowed at the time of drug administration. After using the drug, animals may experience a slight increase in temperature and allergic reactions.
To exclude these phenomena, it is recommended that 10-15 minutes before the use of Globfel-4, one of the antihistamines (diphenhydramine, suprastin, tavegil, diprazine, etc.) should be administered parenterally to the animal according to the generally accepted method.
Violations of the globulin application should be avoided, as this can lead to a decrease in the preventive and therapeutic effect.
The drug is not used in the same syringe with other biological products and medicines.
The timing of the possible use of products of animal origin after the introduction of the drug is not established.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
It is forbidden to use globulin on clinically sick and debilitated animals in which clinical signs are due to other etiological factors.
SIDE EFFECTS
When using the drug in accordance with this instruction, side effects are not observed.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
Shelf life of globulin is 2 years from the date of issue, subject to storage and transportation conditions.
After the expiration date, the drug is not suitable for use.
Globulin is stored and transported in a dry, dark place at a temperature of 2 В° C to 8 В° C. Should be stored out of the reach of children.
PACKAGING
Globulin is packaged in 1.0 ml (one commercial dose) in 3 ml vials (ampoules). The vials are sealed with rubber stoppers, reinforced with aluminum caps, ampoules are hermetically sealed. Vials (ampoules) are packed in cardboard (plastic) boxes or blisters. Each box with globulin contains instructions for using the drug.
