Pharmacological action

The action of Ginkoum is determined by the nature of its effect on the metabolic processes in cells, the rheological properties of blood and microcirculation, as well as on the vasomotor reactions of large blood vessels. Improves cerebral circulation and the supply of oxygen and glucose to the brain. Ginkoum has a vasodilating effect, prevents platelet aggregation.

Normalizes metabolic processes, has an antihypoxic effect on tissues. Prevents lipid peroxidation and the formation of free radicals in cell membranes. Ginkoum has a pronounced decongestant effect at the level of the brain and in peripheral tissues. In various pathological conditions, it prevents the enhancement of serum proteolytic activity.

Indications

In geriatrics for impaired attention and / or memory, impaired mental activity, fear, dizziness, tinnitus, sleep disturbances, general malaise resulting from cerebrovascular disorders.

Contraindications

Decreased blood clotting, erosive gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcer in the exacerbation phase, acute cerebrovascular accident, acute myocardial infarction, arterial hypotension, pregnancy, lactation, children and adolescents under 18 years of age, hypersensitivity to ginkgo biloba preparations.

Special instructions

Ginkgo biloba preparations should be avoided if there are risk factors for intracranial hemorrhage.
