SWEKO germicidal lamps SSL UVC series are low pressure mercury discharge UV lamps with a tubular glass envelope.

SWEKO SSL UVC lamps are safe for use in continuous germicidal devices installed in closed rooms with a constant presence of people.

The glass composition of the UV lamp of the SWEKO SSL UVC lamp blocks radiation with a wavelength of 185 nm, which prevents the formation of ozone during lamp operation.

Lamps are a source of ultraviolet germicidal radiation.

The radiation of the lamp leads to the mortality of microorganisms up to 90–99%, depending on the type of microorganism, during the exposure from several seconds to a couple of minutes.

The main advantage of low-pressure mercury lamps is that more than 60% of the radiation falls on the line with a wavelength of 254 nm, which lies in the spectral range of maximum bactericidal action.

Mercury UV lamps are used in bactericidal lamps, irradiators, recirculators, installations for direct, indirect and closed irradiation.
