Pharmacodynamics

Aminalon - a nootropic drug restores metabolic processes in the brain, promotes the utilization of glucose by the brain and the removal of toxic metabolic products from it. Increases the productivity of thinking, improves memory, has a beneficial effect on the restoration of movements and speech after cerebrovascular accident. It has a slight hypotensive effect, reduces the initially elevated blood pressure and severity of symptoms caused by hypertension (dizziness, insomnia), slightly reduces the heart rate. It has a moderate antihypoxic and anticonvulsant effect. In patients with diabetes, it reduces the glucose content, with a normal blood glucose content it has the opposite effect (due to glycogenolysis).

Pharmacokinetics

Absorption - fast, fairly complete. TCmax - 60 minutes, then the concentration decreases rapidly, after 24 hours, plasma is not detected.

Indications

- conditions after suffering cerebrovascular accidents and traumatic brain injuries

- psycho-organic syndrome

- atherosclerotic, hypertensive and alcoholic encephalopathy

- cerebral palsy and the consequences of birth trauma in children in children

- kinetoses (sea and air sickness).

Contraindications

- hypersensitivity to gamma-aminobutyric acid and excipients that are part of the drug

- acute renal failure

- pregnancy (I trimester), lactation

Special instructions

Composition

1 coated tablet contains: active ingredient: gamma-aminobutyric acid 250 mg,

excipients: powdered sugar, povidone, magnesium stearate, opadra II (including polyvinyl alcohol, talc, Macrogol 3350 (Polyethylene glycol), lecithin (soy), titanium dioxide (E 171), refined sugar, baking wheat flour, magnesium carbonate basic, titanium dioxide (E 171), beeswax, paraffin, refined sunflower oil

Dosage and administration

Applied orally before meals.

Adults and children over 7 years of age are prescribed orally 0.5-1.25 g 3 times a day.

Daily dose - 1.5ֳ g. Children aged 6 years - 2.0-3.0 g / day (8-12 tablets) in 3 divided doses.

The course of treatment is at least 2-3 weeks (optimally 2-4 months). If necessary, the courses are repeated 1-2 times a year.

In the treatment of kinetoses, adults are prescribed 0.5 g (2 tablets), children 0.25 g (1 tablet) 3 times a day for 3-4 days prior to the trip.

Drug Interactions

Enhances the effects of benzodiazepines, many sleeping pills and antiepileptic drugs.
