DESCRIPTION
Gamapren (Gamapren) - a sterile solution for the symptomatic treatment of herpesvirus infection in cats. Gamapren in appearance is a clear or slightly opalescent solution, colorless or with a yellowish tinge.
COMPOSITION
Gamapren in 1 cm3 as an active ingredient contains: disodium salt of polyprenol phosphate (product of phosphorylation of polyprenols from mulberry leaves) - 5 mg, and as auxiliary substances: glycerin, ethanol, tween-80 and water for injection.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Gamapren is an immunomodulatory drug with antiviral properties.
Gamapren has an antiviral effect in cats against herpes viruses by suppressing the synthesis of viral proteins and stimulating the production of interferons and other cytokines. Increases the body's resistance to infections, stimulates the natural resistance of the animal body.
Gamapren, according to the degree of impact on the body, belongs to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76), in the recommended doses it does not have a local irritant, allergenic, embryotoxic, teratogenic and carcinogenic effect.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Gamapren is indicated for the treatment of feline herpesvirus infections.
Gamapren is administered to sick animals orally 2 times a day in the following doses:

The duration of the course of treatment is from 5 to 10 days. If necessary, a repeated course of treatment can be prescribed with an interval of at least 14 days.
For the purpose of non-specific prophylaxis of the disease, in case of possible contact with virus carriers, Gamapren is administered once orally in the doses indicated in the table.
Perhaps subcutaneous or intramuscular administration of Gamapren in the same doses, observing the rules of asepsis and antiseptics.
If necessary, the drug can be used to wash the mucous membrane of the eyes and nasal cavity of a sick animal.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Cases of overdose, side effects and complications when using Gamapren have not been established.
The peculiarities of the action of the drug during its first use and withdrawal have not been established.
Gamapren can be used in pregnant animals, in lactating animals and in animal offspring.
Avoid gaps in the introduction of the next dose of the drug, as this can lead to a decrease in effectiveness. If you miss one dose, you must enter it as soon as possible. Further, the interval until the next injection of the drug does not change.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
A contraindication to the use of the drug is the increased individual sensitivity of animals to the components of Gamapren.
SIDE EFFECTS
When Gamapren is prescribed in accordance with the instructions, side effects are usually not noted. In rare cases, Gamapren can cause an allergic reaction. In this case, the animals are discontinued and antihistamines or other symptomatic treatment are prescribed.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
The shelf life of the medicinal product, subject to storage conditions, is 1 year from the date of manufacture.
Gamapren should be stored and transported in closed manufacturer's packaging, in a dry, protected from direct sunlight and inaccessible to unauthorized persons at a temperature of 4 В° C to 25 В° C.
PACKAGING
Gamapren is produced in 5 ml bottles in glass bottles of appropriate capacity, sealed with rubber stoppers, reinforced with aluminum caps. Vials with Gamapren are placed in 1 piece in cardboard boxes along with instructions for use.
