Pharmacological action
Pharmacological action - broad-spectrum antibacterial, bactericidal, antibacterial. It damages the cytoplasmic membrane of the microbial cell, disorganizes the flow of metabolites inside it with rapid subsequent death. Pharmacodynamics Framycetin is a bactericidal antibiotic for topical application from the group of aminoglycosides. The concentration of framycetin, achieved with topical application, provides its bactericidal activity against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, pathogens of the upper respiratory tract infections.
Indications
As part of combination therapy for infectious and inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract, including:
Rhinitis.
Rhinopharyngitis.
Sinusitis (in the absence of damage to the septum).
Prevention and treatment of inflammatory processes after surgery.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to framycetin and other aminoglycoside antibiotics.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Adequate and strictly controlled clinical trials of the safety of the drug Isofra during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding) have not been conducted.
Special instructions
If within 7 days of treatment the therapeutic effect is absent or weak, the drug must be discontinued.
Composition
1 ml nasal spray solution contains:
Active ingredient: framycetin sulfate - 12.5 mg (8 thousand IU)
Excipients: methyl parahydroxybenzoate, sodium chloride, citric acid, distilled water.
Dosage and administration of
Adults: Prescribe 1 injection into each nostril 4-6 times a day.
Children: appoint 1 injection into each nostril 3 times a day.
The average duration of a course of therapy is 7 days. When used, the vial should be kept upright.
Side effects
Allergic reactions: in rare cases - skin manifestations.
Drug Interactions
No clinically significant interactions of the drug Isofra with other drugs have been identified.

Due to the low degree of absorption into the systemic circulation, an overdose is unlikely.
Storage conditions
Do not store above 25 РC.
