Fosprenil for pets, agricultural animals and horses 50ml
DESCRIPTION
Phosprenyl (Phosprenyl) - solution for injection for stimulation of non-specific resistance and treatment of viral infections in animals and birds. In appearance, the drug is a clear or slightly opalescent solution, colorless or with a yellowish tinge.
COMPOSITION
Fosprenyl contains 4 mg of polyprenol phosphate disodium salt in 1 ml as an active ingredient, and as auxiliary substances: 0.03 ml of glycerol, 0.029 ml of ethanol, 0.0025 ml of Tween-80 and water for injection - up to 1 ml.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Fosprenil refers to antiviral drugs with immunomodulatory properties.
Fosprenil activates natural resistance systems (bactericidal activity of blood serum and phagocytosis), enhances the humoral immune response to vaccines, thereby increasing the body's resistance to infections, and reducing morbidity.
In addition, Fosprenil activates metabolic processes in cells and, accordingly, increases weight gain while reducing feed costs. Fosprenil has antiviral activity against paramyxoviruses, orthomyxoviruses, togaviruses, herpesviruses, coronaviruses and some other viruses.
After parenteral administration, Fosprenil enters the bloodstream of the animal, accumulates mainly in the tissues of the liver, spleen and reproductive organs, reaching maximum concentrations after 0.5-3 hours and remains at a therapeutic level for 10-16 hours. It is excreted from the body mainly with feces and urine.
According to the degree of effect on the body, Fosprenil belongs to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76), in the recommended doses it does not have a local irritant, allergenic, embryotoxic, teratogenic and carcinogenic effect.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Fosprenil is administered intramuscularly, subcutaneously, intravenously, or orally.
Treatment should be started as early as possible from the appearance of clinical signs of the disease. The most effective therapy is in the prodromal period. In viral infections, it is necessary to combine Fosprenil with the means of symptomatic and pathogenic therapy, especially in severe as well as complicated forms of infections. In severe cases of the disease, the therapeutic dose of Fosprenil is recommended to be doubled. Treatment is discontinued 2-3 times after the disappearance of repeated courses of treatment.
In the treatment of viral infections of small domestic animals, Fosprenil is prescribed for 5-7 days at doses (ml / kg) indicated in Table 1.

Daily dose 0.9-1.2 0.6-0.8 0.9-1.2 0.6-0.8
With a large volume of the daily dose, Fosprenil should be administered either at two to three points, or for three to four injections during the day, or intravenously half the dose.
In case of plague of carnivores in dogs, in order to avoid diets, the drug should be administered for at least 14 days, even if clinical signs of the disease disappear. The duration of the course, if necessary, can be increased to 1 month.
For the purpose of nonspecific prophylaxis of diseases and reduction of mortality, Fosprenil is administered at a dose of d up to 0.05 ml / kg of body weight according to the scheme indicated in Table 2.

* - to prepare a working solution, 20 ml of Fosprenil is diluted in 1 liter of water with 10% glycerin and sprayed using aerosol generators of the SAG or APA type at the rate of 0.4 ml of the working solution per 1 m3 of the poultry building with an exposure of 15 minutes.
To reduce morbidity, mortality, increase weight gain, and reduce feed costs for young animals (pigs, horses, cattle) and poultry (chickens) in the first month of life, Fosprenil is administered at a prophylactic dose of 0.05 ml / kg intramuscularly, orally or poultry with water on the 2nd, 5th, 10th, 14th and 20th days of life. For fur animals, Fosprenil is given with feed 1 time in 7 days for 1 month after jigging, then - 1 time in 14 days before slaughter.
In order to increase the immune response to vaccines and prevent post-vaccination complications, Fosprenil at a dose of 0.05 ml / kg is administered simultaneously with the vaccine in different syringes intramuscularly, orally, or in birds with water. When revaccination, the drug is not used.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
A contraindication to use is the increased individual sensitivity of animals and birds to the components of Fosprenil. Cases of overdose during use have not been established. The peculiarities of the action at the first use of the drug and at its cancellation were not revealed.
