APPLICATION
The vaccine is administered subcutaneously in the middle third of the neck. Pregnant cows are vaccinated twice 50-60 days before calving with an interval of 8-10 days between injections at doses of 10-15 cm3. Calves obtained from vaccinated cows are vaccinated at 17-20 days of age, from unvaccinated cows - at 8-10 days of age, twice at a dose of 2 cm3 with an interval between injections of 8-10 days.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
The concentrated formol-alum vaccine promotes the formation of active immunity to the causative agent of salmonellosis (paratyphoid fever) of calves by developing specific antibodies. Immunity in vaccinated animals forms 10-12 days after the second vaccine administration and lasts for 6 months.
SIDE EFFECTS
In some animals, after vaccination, a short-term increase in temperature by 0.5-1.5 В° C can be observed, the formation of a slight swelling at the injection site, which disappears after 3-4 days; anxiety, rapid and heavy breathing, salivation, muscle tremors. In this case, desensitizing drugs are used and symptomatic treatment is carried out.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Slaughter products of vaccinated animals are used without restrictions.
