Flyblock insecticidal tag (50 tags)

DESCRIPTION

FLYBLOCK insecticidal tag - the drug is used to protect against dipterans. In appearance, the drug is a hexagonal plastic compound plate from light yellow to dark yellow. In addition, fixators are attached to the drug.

COMPOSITION

As active ingredients it contains: s-fenvalerate - 40 mg / g, piperonyl butoxide - 80 mg / g and auxiliary substances: plastic compound, PEG 400 and N, N-diethyl-meta-toluamide.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

FLYBLOCK insecticidal tags refer to combined insecticidal-repellent preparations.

The s-fenvalerate (Aa-fenvalerate- (S) -3-methyl-2- (4-chlorophenyl) -butyric acid (S) -a-cyano-3-phenoxybenzyl ester) is a synthetic pyrethroid, has a contact insectoacaricidal and a repellent effect, is active against sarcoptoid and ixodid ticks, dipterans, including horseflies (Tabanidae), biting midges (Heleidae), bloodsuckers (Hippoboscidae), gadflies (Hypodermatidae), mosquitoes (Culicidae), midges (Simuliidae) including Haematobla irritans, Haematobla stimulans, Stomoxys calcitrans.

The mechanism of action of s-fenvalerate is based on the disruption of the exchange of sodium and potassium ions in the presynaptic membrane, which leads to excessive release of acetylcholine during the passage of nerve impulses through the synaptic chain, causing impaired coordination of movements, paralysis and death of insects and ticks.

The piperonyl butoxide (5- [2- (2-butoxyethoxy) ethoxymethyl] -6-propyl-1,3-benzodioxol), which is part of the drug, is an inhibitor of insect enzymes - monooxygenases and carboxyesterases involved in the detoxification of insecticides. Piperonyl butoxide improves the penetration of the pyrethroid through the insect cuticle and by blocking the defense systems of insects, enhances the insecticidal-repellent activity of the pyrethroid.

The dosage form provides a slow release of the active substances onto the surface of the tag. Thus, the active substances are transferred to the skin and hair and are distributed throughout the body of the animal, causing the death of insects and ticks upon contact with the hair. Strong adhesion of the components of the preparation with the secretion of the sebaceous glands ensures its long-term insecticidal and repellent effect and high resistance to atmospheric precipitation. The prolonged form of the drug provides protection of animals during the grazing period from horseflies, gadflies, zoophilous flies, mosquitoes, midges and other representatives of gnats.

S-fenvalerate acts primarily as a contact insectoacaricide and also has a repellent effect. The death of insects and ticks occurs only after contact with the body of the animal, therefore, the presence of insects and ticks on the animal with tags is allowed, but insects and ticks do not feed and parasitize less than usual on the body of the animal due to the repellent effect of the drug.

S-phenvalerate and piperonyl butoxide do not accumulate in milk, as well as in the organs and tissues of the animal.

FLYBLOCK insecticidal tags in terms of the degree of impact on the body belong to moderately hazardous substances (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007-76), in the recommended dose they are well tolerated by animals, do not have allergenic properties, and when they come into contact with mucous membranes, they cause slight irritation.

PURPOSE

FLYBLOCK insecticidal tag is used in cattle to protect them from dipterans in pastures and farms during their active summer.

DOSAGE AND APPLICATION

FLAIBLOCK insecticide tags are for outdoor use only. It is allowed to use FLYBLOCK insecticidal tags to protect livestock from dipterans, which are kept in feedlots or in premises. FLAIBLOCK insecticidal tags provide a repellent effect for up to 5 months.

FLYBLOCK insecticidal tags are applied once and installed on the entire herd of animals at the beginning of the season before the formation of the insect population. One tag is installed on the ear of the animal, with a high number of insects - one tag on each ear. Milking cows are given FLYBLOCK insecticide tags immediately after milking.

The head of the animal is fixed. The tag is installed from the front side of the ear in the following order: Before starting to work with tags, a white nozzle and a stepped needle are installed on the universal applicator forceps (Allflex, ZS and the like). This tip and needle are included with the specified Applicator Forceps.

The head of the animal is fixed. The tag is projected downwards and placed under the tab of the forceps applicator.

The retainer is put on the needle so that it passes through the tip of the needle to its base. Check the fit of the tag parts by closing the pliers-applicator. Incorrect position of the tag parts can lead to injury (necrosis) of the animal's ear tissues and to the loss of the tag in the future.

The latch should be on the outside of the animal's ear, and the tag on the inside. The installed tag should rotate freely on the animal's ear.

To remove the tag, the neck of the retainer is cut behind the ear using scissors.
