Pharmacological action
Fluimucil ANTIBIOTIC - a mucolytic agent, dilutes sputum, increases its volume, facilitates the separation of sputum. The action is associated with the ability of the free sulfhydryl groups of acetylcysteine to break the intra- and intermolecular disulfide bonds of acid mucopolysaccharides of sputum, which leads to the depolymerization of mucoproteins and a decrease in the viscosity of sputum (in some cases, this leads to a significant increase in sputum volume, which requires aspiration of the contents of the bronchi).
Preserves activity in purulent sputum. Does not affect immunity. Increases the secretion of less viscous sialomucins by goblet cells, reduces the adhesion of bacteria on the epithelial cells of the bronchial mucosa.
Stimulates mucous cells of the bronchi, the secret of which lyse fibrin. It has a similar effect on the secret formed in inflammatory diseases of ENT organs. It has an antioxidant effect due to the presence of an SH group capable of neutralizing electrophilic oxidative toxins.
Protects alpha1-antitrypsin (an elastase inhibitor) from the inactivating effects of HOCl, an oxidizing agent produced by myeloperoxidase active phagocytes. It also has some anti-inflammatory effect (due to the suppression of the formation of free radicals and active oxygen-containing substances responsible for the development of inflammation in the lung tissue).
Indications
Disorders of sputum discharge: bronchitis, tracheitis, bronchiolitis, pneumonia, bronchiectatic disease, cystic fibrosis, lung abscess, emphysema, laryngotracheitis, bronchial asthma, lung atelectasis (due to blockage of the bronchial mucosa). Catarrhal and purulent otitis media, sinusitis, sinusitis (relief of secretion).
Removing viscous secretions from the respiratory tract in post-traumatic and postoperative conditions. Preparation for bronchoscopy, bronchography, aspiration drainage.
For washing abscesses, nasal passages, maxillary sinuses, middle ear fistula treatment, the surgical field during operations on the nasal cavity and mastoid process.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, pregnancy, lactation.
Caution.
Peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum (in the acute phase), varicose veins of the esophagus, hemoptysis, pulmonary hemorrhage, phenylketonuria (for forms containing aspartame), bronchial asthma (with iv administration of the risk of developing bronchospasm), adrenal disease, liver and / or renal failure, arterial hypertension.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
During pregnancy, the drug is prescribed only when the potential benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.
If necessary, the appointment of the drug during lactation should stop breastfeeding during treatment.
Composition
1 vial contains:
Active ingredients:

Side effects
Allergic reactions.
Intramuscular administration may cause a slight burning sensation at the injection site, rarely - reticulocytopenia, anemia, leukopenia, neutropenia, thrombocytopenia.
If inhaled, reflex cough, local respiratory irritation, stomatitis, rhinitis, nausea. Bronchospasm is possible, in this case bronchodilators are prescribed.
Drug Interaction
Concurrent administration of antitussive agents may increase phlegm stagnation due to cough reflex suppression. It is not recommended to mix with other preparations in aerosol.
