DESCRIPTION

Flexoprofen 10% (Flexoprofen 10%) is a drug for the treatment of inflammatory diseases of the musculoskeletal system, pain syndrome of various etiologies. In appearance, Flexoprofen is a colorless or light yellow transparent solution.

COMPOSITION

As an active ingredient, ketoprofen 100 mg, respectively, as well as auxiliary substances: L-arginine, benzyl alcohol, citric acid and water for injection.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Flexoprofen belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs - propionic acid derivatives.

Ketoprofen is a derivative of propionic acid from the group of carboxylic acids, has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects, is effective for the treatment of acute, subacute and chronic inflammation accompanied by a symptom of pain. The mechanism of action of ketotrophen is to suppress the synthesis of prostaglandins and thromboxane by disrupting the metabolism of arachidonic acid.

With intramuscular injection of the drug, the maximum concentration of ketoprofen in the blood plasma of animals is observed 30 minutes after injection. The bioavailability of ketoprofen, depending on the animal species, varies from 85% to 100%.

Ketottrofen is excreted from the body of animals mainly through the kidneys.

Flexoprofen, according to the degree of impact on the body, belongs to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76).

PURPOSE

Flexoprofen is used to treat inflammatory diseases of the musculoskeletal system (including arthritis, arthrosis, dislocations, edema, hernias of intervertebral discs, synovitis, tendosynovitis), pain syndrome of various etiologies (traumatic and postoperative pain, colic), as well as hyperthermia in dogs and cats , sports horses, pigs and cattle .. -

DOSAGE AND APPLICATION

Flexoprofen is administered to animals once a day for 1-5 days in the following doses according to the active ingredient: dogs and cats: subcutaneously, intramuscularly or intravenously at a dose of 2 mg / kg of animal weight. sports horses: intravenously in a dose of 2.2 mg kg of animal weight. For symptomatic treatment of colic, the drug is administered once in the same dose. pigs: - intramuscularly at a dose of 3 mg / kg of animal weight. cattle: intravenously or intramuscularly at a dose of 3 mg / kg of animal weight.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

In case of overdose, animals may experience loss of appetite, vomiting, or diarrhea. In this case, it is necessary to stop the drug administration.

The peculiarities of the action during the first use and upon discontinuation of the drug were not revealed.

Slaughter of cattle for meat is allowed no earlier than 5 days, and pigs - 4 days after the last use of the drug.

The meat of animals that were forcedly killed before the expiration of the specified period can be used for feeding fur-bearing animals.

Milk from cattle can be used for food purposes without restrictions.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

A contraindication to the use of Flexoprofen is the individual hypersensitivity of the animal to ketoprofen and other components of the drug, stomach and duodenal ulcer, hemorrhagic syndrome, severe hepatic and renal failure, pregnancy.

SIDE EFFECTS

As a rule, side effects and complications when using the drug in accordance with the instructions are not observed. With increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug and the occurrence of allergic reactions, the use of Flexoprofen is discontinued and antihistamines are prescribed.

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE

The shelf life of Flexoprofen in the manufacturer's sealed packaging, subject to storage conditions, is 3 years from the date of production.

Flexoprofen is stored in sealed manufacturer's packaging, separately from food and feed, in a place protected from direct sunlight, at a temperature of 5 В° C to 25 В° C.
