Pain syndrome: ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile chronic arthritis, tendonitis, tendovaginitis, shoulder-scapular syndrome; sports injuries (bruises, dislocations, ligament damage).
Outwardly. Adults and children over 14 years of age, 1 g of gel (approximately the size of a hazelnut) 3-4 times a day. The gel should be applied to the skin over the affected area and rubbed lightly.
The duration of treatment depends on the severity of symptoms and averages 2-3 weeks for tendinitis, tendovaginitis and shoulder-scapular syndrome; 1-2 weeks for sports injuries.
1 g of gel contains:
active substance piroxicam - 5 mg
excipients: propylene glycol, isopropanol, macrogol glyceryl cocoate (cetiol HE), hypromellose (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose), sodium hydroxide, sodium disulfite (sodium metabisulfite), potassium dihydrogen phosphate, purified water
Hypersensitivity to piroxicam or other components of the drug;
hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs;
pregnancy (III trimester);
renal failure;
age up to 14 years.
Carefully:
bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis, recurrent polyposis of the nose and paranasal sinuses, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or chronic pulmonary infections. Pregnancy and lactation
FinalgelЃ should be used with caution during the I and II trimester of pregnancy.
Piroxicam can pass into breast milk in small amounts, therefore it is not recommended to use the drug during breastfeeding.

Description:
Transparent or slightly opalescent light yellow gel with a faint isopropyl alcohol odor
Pharmacotherapeutic group:
non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID)
Pharmacological properties:
Has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, local cooling effect. Non-selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase 1 and 2.
Pharmacokinetics
After applying 4 g of the drug to the skin, the maximum concentration of piroxicam in the systemic circulation is 149.2 ± 30.3 ng / ml.

Side effect:
- local skin irritation (inflammation, redness, hives, itching, flaking)
- local allergic reactions.
Overdose:
When using the drug in doses exceeding the recommended ones, in isolated cases the occurrence of systemic side effects is not excluded: headache; disorders of the gastrointestinal tract (nausea, pain in the epigastric region); shortness of breath.
A single case of the development of interstitial nephritis with functional renal failure and nephrotic syndrome is described.
If symptoms of an overdose appear, the drug should be canceled and a doctor should be consulted. Treatment: symptomatic.
Special instructions:
Patients suffering from bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis, recurrent polyposis of the nose and paranasal sinuses, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or chronic pulmonary infections are usually more sensitive to the use of NSAIDs. These patients may have more frequent asthma attacks, Quincke's edema and urticaria. Do not apply the gel to damaged skin, including open wounds. Avoid contact with eyes. Gel for external use 0.5%. 35 g or 50 g in an aluminum tube, closed with a plastic cap with a punch for the membrane. The tube with instructions for use is placed in a cardboard box.
Storage conditions:
At a temperature not exceeding 25 ? C, out of the reach of children. Shelf life 5 years, 6 months from the date of opening the tube.
Do not use after the expiration date printed on the package.
