Finadin 100ml

DESCRIPTION

Finadin (Finadyne) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug designed to relieve inflammatory processes and relieve pain syndromes of various etiologies in cattle, horses and pigs. Finadin is a colorless or light yellow transparent liquid in appearance.

COMPOSITION

Finadin as an active ingredient in 1 cm3 contains 50 mg of flunixin (which is equivalent to 82.95 mg of flunixin meglumine), and as auxiliary substances - diethanolamine, phenol, disodium edetate, sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate, propylene glycol, hydrochloric acid, distilled water.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Flunixin in the form of meglumine salt, which is part of the drug, is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent and is a non-selective inhibitor of cyclooxygenases (COX1 and COX2), thereby reducing the production of prostaglandins E2. A decrease in the production of inflammatory mediators causes the analgesic, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory and antitoxic effect of flunixin.

When administered intramuscularly, flunixin is rapidly absorbed and penetrates into all organs and tissues, the maximum concentration in the blood is reached after 5-45 minutes. Despite the short half-life (on average 2-8 hours), the drug accumulates at the site of inflammation, providing a therapeutic effect within 24 hours. Flunixin is 99% bound to proteins and excreted from the body mainly in feces and, to a lesser extent, in urine.

According to the degree of impact on the body, Finadin belongs to moderately hazardous substances (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007).

DOSAGE AND APPLICATION

Finadin is used as an anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic drug for acute inflammatory processes and pain syndromes in cattle, horses and pigs.

For cattle, Finadin is prescribed as an adjuvant therapy for the treatment of respiratory diseases (including emphysema of the lungs), diarrhea, mastitis, limb diseases, eye diseases, as well as other diseases accompanied by an acute inflammatory process. Finadin has an antitoxic effect against bacterial endotoxins.

Pigs Finadin is used for the treatment of respiratory diseases, MMA syndrome as a means of additional therapy.

For horses, Finadin is prescribed to relieve inflammation and relieve pain in diseases of the musculoskeletal system, colic, after surgery, septic endotoxic shock, in acute inflammatory processes in the gastrointestinal tract, as well as as an antipyretic agent for bacterial and viral infections.

The dosage and route of administration depends on the type of animal and the disease:
