Ferroglucin 75 (Fepoglucinum-75) (100ml)

DESCRIPTION

Ferroglucin-75 (Fepoglucinum-75) - the drug is used for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia in farm animals and fur-bearing animals. The drug is a sterile dark brown liquid that mixes well with water. The presence of a homogeneous sediment is allowed.

COMPOSITION

1 cm3 of the drug solution contains 7 5 mg of ferric iron.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Ferroglukin-75, when administered intramuscularly to animals, stimulates the synthesis of hemoglobin and contributes to the saturation of erythrocytes with it, increases the accumulation of iron in the depot organs, heme-containing enzymes, myoglobin and blood plasma, and also increases the body's resistance.

After intramuscular administration, iron dextran is slowly absorbed, mainly into the lymphatic system. About 60% of the drug is absorbed within 3 days after injection and approximately 90% of the dose is absorbed after 1-3 weeks. The remaining amount of the drug can be slowly absorbed over several months.

After absorption of iron dextran, mononuclear cells of the liver, spleen and bone marrow gradually clear the drug from the blood plasma. Iron is cleaved from dextran, after which the latter is metabolized or excreted. Iron immediately binds to protein elements to form ferritin, transferrin, or hemosiderin. Only very small amounts of iron are excreted in milk.

DOSAGE AND APPLICATION

The drug is injected once intramuscularly into the thigh or neck area. At the injection site of the needle, the skin is displaced to the side so that the drug does not leak out.

In winter, before use, ferroglukin-75 is heated in a water bath to 37-38 В° C.

For prophylactic purposes, ferroglukin-75 is administered: to piglets on the 3-4th day of life at a dose of 2-3 cm3 per animal. The drug can also be administered orally in the first 8-12 hours after birth to piglets at the same dose. If necessary, the drug is injected to animals again on the 10-14th day of their life at a dose of 3 cm3; sows 10 cm3 15-20 days before farrowing; calves and foals 5-8 cm3 on the 3-4th day of life; lambs 3-4 cm3 on the 5-6th day of life.

For therapeutic purposes, ferroglukin-75 is administered to animals (older than two weeks of age) ml per 1 kg of body weight: to piglets 0.75-1.25; calves and foals 0.25-0.4; lambs 0.75; fur animals 0.75.

If necessary, injections of the drug are repeated in the same doses every 1O days.
