Ferran 100ml

Description: a drug in the form of a solution for injection, intended for the treatment and prevention of anemia of various etiologies in young cattle and small ruminants, pigs, foals, fur-bearing animals and dogs. FerranВ® is a clear, sterile, dark brown solution. The drug is produced in sterile glass bottles of 100 ml.

Composition: As active ingredients, 1 ml of solution contains 100 mg of ferric iron (in combination with low molecular weight dextran), vitamin B12 - 0.005 mg, folic acid - 0.2 mg, nicotinic acid - 20 mg and auxiliary components.

Pharmacological properties: FerranВ® has a high biological activity, when administered parenterally, it compensates for the lack of iron and B vitamins in the body caused by environmental reasons, blood loss, feeding errors or animal diseases. It activates the processes of hematopoiesis and redox reactions, helps to increase the overall resistance of the body. The iron in the composition of the drug is rapidly absorbed from the injection site, enters the bloodstream, is deposited in the liver and hematopoietic organs, replenishing the iron deficiency in the body, and then gradually used in the processes of erythropoiesis, hemoglobin formation and redox reactions. The complex of vitamins enhances the processes of hematopoiesis.

Indications for use: FerranВ® is used in young cattle and small ruminants, pigs, foals, fur animals and dogs for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes in case of anemia of various etiologies.

Dosage and method of administration:The drug is administered intramuscularly to animals in the thigh or neck area. When using FerranВ® in the winter season, before use, the drug is heated in a water bath to 36-39 В° C. For prophylactic purposes, the drug is administered in the following single doses (ml per animal): for sows 15-20 days before farrowing - 8-10 ml; piglets for 3-5 days of life - 1.0-1.5 ml; calves and foals for 3-4 days of life - 4.0-6.0 ml; lambs for 5-6 days of life - 1.0-1.5 ml. If necessary, the introduction of the drug to young animals is repeated after 10-12 days in the same doses. For therapeutic purposes, the drug is used in animals older than 2 weeks of age in the following single doses (per animal): for piglets - 2.0-3.0 ml; calves and foals - 6.0-8.0 ml; lambs - 2.0-3.0 ml; puppies of dogs and fur animals - 0.2 ml.

Contraindications: It is not allowed to use the drug simultaneously with chloramphenicol, sulfa drugs. When using the drug in the recommended doses, side effects and complications in animals are not observed. At the injection site, a temporary change in tissue color may be observed.

Restriction: Livestock products after the use of the drug are used without restrictions.

Shelf life: Store the medicinal product in the manufacturer's sealed packaging, separately from food and feed, in a dark, dry place at a temperature of 5 to 25 В° C. The shelf life of the medicinal product under the specified storage conditions in a sealed package is 2 years from the date of manufacture, after opening the bottle - no more than 30 days. After the expiration date FerranВ® should not be used.
