PURPOSE

For use on open ground of any composition, especially on light sandy and heavy clays and loams. Expanded vermiculite is used for seedlings in order to increase their survival and increase productivity, while a microclimate is formed around the root system, which makes it possible to reduce the incidence of root rot in plants. They are also used for mulching strawberry bushes, shrubs and fruit trees, while the ripening period is shortened, an obstacle to the development of diseases arises, and the number of watering decreases.

APPLICATION

The optimal rates of introduction of expanded vermiculite with its immediate incorporation into the ground (plowing, milling, digging) is 2-3l / m2, mixing with biocompost in the same quantities. It is advisable to repeat this operation in the spring for planting and in the autumn digging.

When using expanded vermiculite in closed soils, for digging, it is advisable to increase the application rate by two to three times, this makes it possible to form the most air-moisture-permeable composition of the protected nutrient soil. The excess moisture inherent in the climate of greenhouses is compensated by the active moisture absorption of vermiculite in the soil. But the local use of expanded vermiculite in the root zone of plants significantly saves it.
