Chronic venous insufficiency of varicose and post-thrombotic genesis and its complications, incl. diseases associated with functional impairment of blood supply:
swelling, cramps in the calf muscles;
pain and feeling of heaviness in the legs;
phlebeurysm;
hemorrhoids.
Assign inside 12-15 drops 3 times / day.
The drug should be taken before meals with a small amount of liquid.
Shake the contents of the bottle before taking the drug.
Active ingredients:
dry extract of horse chestnut seeds (5-7: 1) - 4.725 g
thiamine hydrochloride - 500 mg
Excipients: ethanol 96% - 26.4 g, purified water - 67.675 g, lactose monohydrate - 432 mg, colloidal silicon dioxide 243 g.
Extractant: ethanol 60 vol.%

pharmachologic effect
The drug used for disorders of venous circulation. Contains horse chestnut fruit extract, has anti-exudative, venotonic effect. It was found that horse chestnut fruit extract reduces the concentration of lysosomal enzymes, as a result of which the disintegration of mucopolysaccharides in the region of the capillary walls decreases. Aescusan reduces vascular permeability, preventing the filtration of low molecular weight proteins, electrolytes and water into the extracellular space. In randomized double-blind and crossover studies, there was a decrease in transcapillary filtration and a significant decrease in edema, a decrease in the feeling of heaviness, fatigue, tension, itching, pain.

Absorption and distribution
After oral administration of 50 mg of horse chestnut fruit extract, Cmax in blood plasma is reached after 2.35 hours and is 25.31 ng / ml.
Plasma protein binding is 84%.
Withdrawal
T1 / 2 is 19.87 hours. After oral administration, 0.11% of horse chestnut extract is excreted by the kidneys in the form of escin.

Drug interactions
The effect of thiamine, which is part of the drug Eskuzan, decreases when used simultaneously with sulfite-containing infusion solutions.
