DESCRIPTION

Inactivated associated subunit vaccine against equine tetanus and influenza.

COMPOSITION

One dose of vaccine contains: 100 AE equine influenza virus A / equine-1 / Prague / 56 (H7N7), 50 AE equine influenza virus A / equine-2 / Newmarket / 1/93 (American serotype - H3N8) and A / equine-2 / Newmarket / 2/93 (European serotype - H3N8), and at least 30 U (40 flocculating units) of tetanus toxoid.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

The vaccine induces the production of specific antibodies against influenza and tetanus pathogens in horses within 14 days after a double injection. The immunity strength is 12 months against equine influenza and 2 years against tetanus.

INDICATIONS

It is prescribed to horses and ponies for the specific prevention of influenza and tetanus in prosperous and conditionally prosperous horse breeding farms and the private sector.

APPLICATION

Before applying the vaccine, the injection site is treated with 70% alcohol and deeply into the neck area, intramuscularly injected into the animal at a dose of 1 ml. A separate sterile needle and syringe is used for each animal. Foals are vaccinated twice with an interval of 4 weeks, starting from 6 months of age, if necessary, in some cases, it is allowed to carry out immunization from 4 months. Revaccination is carried out 5 months after the repeated administration of the vaccine and then vaccinated annually at the same dose. Injured animals not previously vaccinated against tetanus are allowed to apply the vaccine and tetanus toxoid in different parts of the neck. The vaccine can be used to immunize pregnant and lactating mares.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Clinically sick animals are not subject to vaccination.

SIDE EFFECTS

In very rare cases, after the application of the vaccine, hypersensitive animals may experience allergic reactions, a slight rise in body temperature, swelling at the injection site (if the injection is not deep enough), which spontaneously disappear after 2 days and do not require treatment.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

When handling the drug, you should follow the rules of asepsis, avoid contamination of the vaccine. Should not be administered in the same syringe with other vaccines and drugs. At the end of the treatment, hands should be thoroughly washed with warm water and soap. Used vials and syringes are disposed of.

Opened for more than 8 hours, unused vials and syringes must be disinfected by boiling for 15 minutes, followed by disposal.

Slaughter and use of meat, offal obtained from vaccinated animals are carried out without restrictions.

STORAGE

Store in a cool, dry, dark place, out of reach of children and animals, at a temperature of 2 to 8 В° C. Freezing the vaccine is not allowed.

Shelf life 2 years.

PACKING

The vaccine is packaged in 1.0 ml bottles of appropriate capacity. Vaccine vials are placed in cardboard boxes. Each box contains 10 vials.
