DESCRIPTION
Enroflox 5% is an antibacterial drug based on enrofloxacin in the form of an injection solution for the treatment of cattle and small ruminants, pigs, as well as cats and dogs with diseases of bacterial and mycoplasma etiology.
COMPOSITION
The drug contains as an active ingredient: enrofloxacin - 50 mg in 1 ml. The drug in appearance is a clear yellowish solution.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
The drug belongs to the group of fluoroquinolones. It inhibits the active enzyme gyrase, which takes part in the catalysis of the DNA of the microbial cell, resulting in a rapid bactericidal effect, especially on microorganisms resistant to beta-lactam antibiotics, tetracyclines, macrolides and aminoglycosides.
The drug is effective against harp-positive and gram-negative microorganisms: Mycoplasma spp, E. coli, Salmonella spp, Campylobacter spp, Haemophilus spp, Pasteurella spp, Bordetella spp, Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Klebsiella spp, Stureaphylococcus. other. The antibiotic inhibits the growth and reproduction of microorganisms.
INDICATIONS
Treatment of bronchopneumonia, enzootic pneumonia, colibacillosis, salmonellosis and other diseases of cattle and small ruminants and pigs caused by microorganisms sensitive to fluoroquinolones, infections of the respiratory and genitourinary systems, gastrointestinal tract of dogs and cats.
APPLICATION
Cattle (calves) - subcutaneously in a dose of 0.5-1 ml of the drug (equivalent to 25-50 mg of enrofloxacin) per 10 kg of body weight once a day for 3 days. In the treatment of salmonellosis or severe infections, the drug is used for 5 days. Do not use more than 10 ml of injection at one injection site.
Pigs - intramuscularly in a dose of 0.5-1 ml of the drug (equivalent to 25-50 mg of enrofloxacin) per 10 kg of body weight once a day for 3 days. In the treatment of salmonellosis or severe infections, the drug is used for 5 days. Do not use more than 2.5 ml injection at one injection site.
Dogs - subcutaneously at a dose of 0.1 ml of the drug (equivalent to 5 mg of enrofloxacin) per 1 kg of body weight once a day for 5 days. If there is no recovery within 3 days, the treatment should be reviewed.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
A contraindication is hypersensitivity to enrofloxacin. Should not be administered to animals that have cartilage growth disorders.
Do not use in dogs and cats of small and medium breeds in the first 12 months of life, large breeds in the first 18 months. You should also avoid drug treatment of dogs with a history of epileptic seizures, nervous disorders. Do not administer to pregnant or lactating animals. It is forbidden to use simultaneously with tetracycline drugs, macrolides (erythromycin), chloramphenicol, theophylline.
SIDE EFFECTS
When used in recommended doses, side effects have not been identified.
Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed 14 days after the last dose of the drug. Until the specified time, the meat is fed to unproductive animals or disposed of (depending on the conclusion of the veterinarian).
STORAGE
Store in a dry, dark place and out of reach of children and animals, separately from food and feed at temperatures from + 5 В° C to + 25 В° C. Shelf life, subject to storage conditions, is 3 years from the date of production.
