DESCRIPTION
Enroflox 10% is a pale yellow or yellow oral solution for the treatment of colibacillosis, salmonellosis, necrotic enteritis, streptococcosis, mycoplasmosis and other diseases of broilers and replacement poultry.
COMPOSITION
1 ml of the drug contains the active ingredient: enrofloxacin -100 mg, excipients: benzyl alcohol, potassium hydroxide, purified water.
INDICATION
Treatment in poultry (chickens, turkeys, geese, ducks) and pigs for colibacillosis, salmonellosis, mycoplasmosis, Enteritis necrotica (separate and mixed infections), infections caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus, Coriza, Pasteurella, Erysipelotrix in mixed infectious turkeys, and diseases and side infections in viral diseases.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Antimicrobial drug for systemic use.
Enrofloxacin, which is part of Enroflox 10%, belongs to the group of fluoroquinolones and has a broad spectrum of antibacterial action. It is active against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, incl. Escherichia coli, Haemophilus spp., Klebsiella spp., Pasteurella spp., Pseudomonas spp., Bordetella spp., Campylobacter spp., Erysipelothrix spp., Corynebacterium spp .. Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Streptococcus spp. , Clostridium spp., Mycoplasma spp.
Enrofloxacin is well absorbed and penetrates into all organs and tissues of the body. The maximum concentration of the drug in the blood is reached 0.5-1 hours after the administration of Enroflox 10%, the therapeutic concentration is maintained for 24 hours. Enrofloxacin is partially metabolized to ciprofloxacin and excreted from the body mainly in the urine.
According to the degree of impact on the body, Enroflox 10% is classified as a moderately hazardous substance (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007-76).
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Orally at a dose of 0.10 ml of the drug per kg of body weight, or 0.5 liters of the drug (50 ppm of enrofloxacin) per 1000 liters of drinking water for 3 days. In the treatment of salmonellosis, the drug is used for 5 days. Change drinking water every 24 hours.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
The peculiarities of the action of Enroflox 10% at the first administration of the drug and its cancellation were not revealed.
If one or more doses of Enroflox 10% are missed, the course of treatment must be resumed in the prescribed dosages and regimen.
In the event of allergic reactions, the use of the drug is discontinued and antihistamines, adrenaline, corticosteroids, or other symptomatic treatment are prescribed.
Slaughter of poultry for meat is allowed no earlier than 11 days after the last use of the drug.
The meat of poultry, forcedly killed before the expiration of the specified period, can be used for feeding fur-bearing animals.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Contraindications to the use of ENROFLOX 10%: laying hens (due to the accumulation of enrofloxacin in eggs); simultaneous appointment with chloramphenicol, theophylline and steroids.
SIDE EFFECTS
When using the drug in accordance with the instructions, side effects are not observed.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
The drug should be stored in the manufacturer's sealed packaging, in a dry, dark place and out of the reach of unauthorized persons, separately from food and feed at temperatures from 0 В° to 25 В° C.
