Pharmacological action of
Eleutherococcus liquid extract has a stimulating effect on the central nervous system, tonic and restorative effect on the body, increases the general nonspecific resistance of the body, helps to improve appetite, increase physical and mental performance.
Indications
Mental and physical overwork,
asthenic conditions of various etiologies,
arterial hypotension,
recovery period after infectious diseases,
postoperative period.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug,
arterial hypertension (high blood pressure),
heart rhythm disturbance,
increased irritability,
epilepsy,
convulsive illness, acute srd, acute liver disease, acute srd, acute disease, srd.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
The drug is not recommended for use during pregnancy, lactation, and children under 12 years of age.
Special instructions
Drug Eleutherococcus liquid extract should not be taken in the afternoon to avoid sleep disturbance.
When hypoglycemia occurs, it is recommended to reduce the dose of the drug, take it after a meal, or cancel the drug.
Composition of
1 liter of extract (liquid) for oral administration contains:
active ingredient:
rhizome and prickly root Eleutherococcus - 1000 g
excipient:
ethyl alcohol 40% - to obtain 1 liter of extract
Dosage and Administration
Eleutherococcus liquid extract is taken orally before meals.
Adults are prescribed 20-30 drops 2-3 times a day. Children over 12 years old - at a dose of 1 drop per year of life.
The course of treatment is 25 to 30 days.
If necessary, repeat courses with two-week breaks (or without) after consulting a doctor.
Side effects
In rare cases, allergic reactions, tachycardia, headache are possible.
When using the drug, sleep disturbance and hypoglycemia can be observed.
Drug interactions
Eleutherococcus drugs enhance the action of stimulants and analeptics (caffeine, camphor, phenamine, etc.), are physiological antagonists of hypnotic drugs that inhibit the central nervous system (including barbiturates, tranquilizers, anticonvulsants, etc.)
