Infectious and inflammatory diseases caused by pathogens sensitive to the drug:

• lower respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia);

• ENT infections (sinusitis, tonsillitis, otitis media);

• infections of the genitourinary system and pelvic organs (pyelonephritis, pyelitis, cystitis, urethritis, bacterial prostatitis, cervicitis, salpingitis, salpingo-oophoritis, endometritis, bacterial vaginitis, septic abortion, chancre, gonorrhea);

• infections of the skin and soft tissues (erysipelas, impetigo, secondarily infected dermatoses, abscess, phlegmon, wound infection)

• infections of bones and joints (osteomyelitis).

Inside. The dosage regimen is set individually depending on the age and body weight of the patient, the severity of the course and localization of the infectious process, as well as the sensitivity of the pathogen.

The minimum course of antibiotic therapy is from 5 days. Treatment should not be continued for more than 14 days without reviewing the clinical situation.

Adults and children over 12 years old or weighing more than 40 kg:

Light and moderate infections - 1 tab. 250 + 125 mg 3 times a day or 1 table. 500 + 125 mg 2 times a day.

Severe infections or infections of the lower respiratory tract - 1 table. 875 + 125 mg 2 times a day or 1 table. 500 mg + 125 mg 3 times a day.

Since the tablets contain the same amount of clavulanic acid (125 mg), it should be borne in mind that 2 tables. 250 + 125 mg are not equivalent to 1 table. 500 + 125 mg each.

The maximum daily dose of amoxicillin for adults and children over 12 years old is 6 g, clavulanic acid is 600 mg.

In chronic renal failure, the dose and frequency of administration are adjusted depending on creatinine clearance:

- with Cl creatinine> 30 ml / min, dose adjustment is not required;

- with Cl creatinine 10-30 ml / min - 1 tab. 250 + 125 mg 2 times a day (for mild and moderate infections) or 1 tab. 500 + 125 mg 2 times a day (for severe infections or infections of the lower respiratory tract);

- with Cl creatinine <10 ml / min - 1 table. 250 + 125 mg 1 time per day (for mild and moderate infections) or 1 table. 500 + 125 mg 1 time per day (for severe infections or infections of the lower respiratory tract);

- patients on hemodialysis - 1 table. 500 + 125 mg or 2 tab. 250 + 125 mg every 24 hours in combination with 1 dose during hemodialysis and 1 dose after hemodialysis, since the concentration of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid decreases.

Film-coated tablets

1 tablet amoxicillin trihydrate (in terms of amoxicillin) 250 mg or 500 mg or 875 mg

potassium clavulanate (in terms of clavulanic acid) 125 mg

excipients: lactulose (300 or 600 mg, respectively); crospovidone (Kollidon CL); croscarmellose sodium; talc; magnesium stearate; MCC excipients of the shell: hypromellose; ethyl cellulose; diethyl phthalate; titanium dioxide; talc

• Hypersensitivity (including to cephalosporins and other beta-lactam antibiotics);

• Infectious mononucleosis; episodes of jaundice or liver dysfunction as a result of amoxicillin / clavulanic acid use in history;

• chronic renal failure (CC less than 30 ml / min) for tablets with a dosage of 875 mg + 125 mg.

  With caution, the drug should be prescribed for severe liver failure, gastrointestinal diseases (including a history of colitis associated with the use of penicillins), chronic renal failure.

Pharmaco-therapeutic group:

Antibiotic, semi-synthetic penicillin + beta-lactamase inhibitor

Side effect

The drug is well tolerated. Side effects are rare, mostly mild and transient.

From the digestive system: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, gastritis, stomatitis, glossitis, cholestatic jaundice, hepatitis, liver failure (more often in the elderly, men, with prolonged therapy), colitis (including pseudomembranous), black hairy tongue, darkening of the tooth enamel, an increase in the activity of hepatic transaminases, an increase in the content of bilirubin and the activity of alkaline phosphatase.

From the hematopoietic system: a reversible increase in prothrombin time and bleeding time, thrombocytopenia, thrombocytosis, eosinophilia, leukopenia, agranulocytosis, hemolytic anemia.

From the side of the central nervous system: dizziness, headache, hyperactivity, anxiety, behavior change, seizures.

From the urinary system: interstitial nephritis, crystalluria, hematuria.

Allergic reactions: urticaria, erythematous rash, exudative erythema multiforme, anaphylactic shock, angioedema, exfoliative dermatitis, malignant exudative erythema (Stevens-Johnson syndrome), allergic vasculitis, a syndrome similar to serum sickness, acute exanthema

Others: candidiasis, development of superinfection.
