pharmachologic effect
Enzyme preparation.
Compensates for the lack of exocrine pancreatic function.
The enzymes included in pancreatin (lipase, alpha-amylase, proteases / trypsin, chymotrypsin /) promote the breakdown of proteins to amino acids, fats to glycerol and fatty acids, starch to dextrins and monosaccharides.
The drug improves the functional state of the gastrointestinal tract, normalizes digestion processes.
Trypsin inhibits the stimulated secretion of the pancreas, has an analgesic effect.
Pancreatic enzymes are released from the dosage form in the alkaline medium of the small intestine (since the tablet is coated with an enteric coating, which protects the components of the drug from the effects of gastric juice).
The maximum enzymatic activity is observed 30-45 minutes after taking the drug inside.
Side effects
From the digestive system: diarrhea, constipation, a feeling of discomfort in the stomach, nausea (however, the causal relationship of these side effects with taking the drug has not been established, since these reactions refer to symptoms of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency).
Others: allergic reactions.
It should be borne in mind that with prolonged use of the drug in high doses, the development of hyperuricosuria, hyperuricemia is possible.
With cystic fibrosis, if the recommended dose is exceeded, strictures (fibrous colonopathy) may develop in the ileocecal section in the ascending colon.

- to improve the digestion of food for people with normal gastrointestinal tract function in case of errors in nutrition (eating fatty foods, irregular eating, eating a large amount of food) and with violations of chewing function, a sedentary lifestyle, prolonged immobilization
