Pharmacological action
Cystone is a phytopreparation with diuretic, litholytic and anti-inflammatory effects.
The drug regulates the crystal-colloidal balance in dysmetabolic nephropathy, reduces the concentration in the urine of elements that contribute to the formation of stones (oxalic acid, calcium, hydroxyproline). Increases the level of elements that inhibit the formation of stones (sodium, magnesium, potassium). By acting on mucin, the drug promotes the disintegration of stones, leading to their demineralization.
Prevents the accumulation of particles around the core of the stone, which prevents its further growth.
By stimulating diuresis and relaxing the smooth muscles of the urinary tract, Cyston helps to remove oxalate and phosphate salts, uric acid and small stones from the urinary tract.
Cyston has a bacteriostatic and bactericidal effect, especially against Klebsiella spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli and other gram-negative bacteria.
The litholytic effect of the drug is independent of urine pH.
Indications
As part of complex therapy: urolithiasis,
crystalluria,
urinary tract infections,
gout.
Contraindications
Acute pain in the kidneys and urinary tract.
Age to 18 years.
The use of the drug is not recommended for stones larger than 9 mm in diameter due to the threat of obstruction.
Hypersensitivity to the drug.
Use during pregnancy and lactation

The use of the drug for urolithiasis and crystalluria does not depend on the composition of the stones and the pH of the urine. The drug is effective for oxalate, urate, phosphate urolithiasis. When you stop taking the drug Cyston tablets syndrome "cancellation" is not observed. In elderly patients and patients with renal failure, dose adjustment is not required. Special measures when skipping one or more doses of the drug are not required. When using these drugs simultaneously with the drug Cyston may require dose adjustment.
