Disparkol 50ml
DESCRIPTION
Disparkol is a complex antibacterial drug for the treatment of colibacillosis and salmonellosis in piglets and calves and dysentery in piglets. It is a clear yellow-green liquid.
COMPOSITION
1 ml of which contains 50 mg of chloramphenicol, 20 mg of metronidazole and 20 mg of tylosin base as active ingredients, as well as 30 mg of benzyl alcohol, 0.15 ml of N, N-dimethylacetamide, 0.65 ml 1.2 propylene glycol and up to 1 ml of polyethylene oxide 400.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Levomycetin is effective against most gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms: staphylococci, streptococci, diplococci, salmonella, pasteurella, escherichia, proteus, etc. Acts on strains of bacteria resistant to penicillins, streptomycin, sulfonamides. Active against gram-negative anaerobes. Metronidazole is effective against a number of protozoa: Trichomonas, lamblia, balantidia, amoebas, histomonads, and is effective against spore-forming and non-spore-forming anaerobic bacteria. DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Before use, disparkol is heated to 37 - 38 В° C. For the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases of young cattle, the drug is administered intramuscularly at a dose of 0.15 ml per 1 kg of animal weight, for young pigs at a dose of 0.2 ml per 1 kg of animal weight twice with an interval of 24 hours.
In severe cases of the disease, the drug is administered three times with an interval of 24 hours. The maximum volume of Disparkol for administration in one place should not exceed 10 ml for calves, and 5 ml for piglets. With the introduction of large volumes, the dose of the drug is divided and injected into different places. When re-using it, it is recommended to change the injection site.
SIDE EFFECTS
In rare cases, after the use of disparkol, individual reactions are possible (short-term painful reaction at the injection site, as well as anxiety), which disappear spontaneously after stopping the use of the drug.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to chloramphenicol, metronidazole and tylosin. Should not be used in animals with impaired blood formation.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed 14 days after the last use of the drug. The meat of animals that were forcedly killed before the expiration of the specified period can be used for feeding fur animals or for the production of meat and bone meal.
