Pharmacological action

Glucose has a plasma-replacing, hydrating, stimulating energy metabolism effect.

Contraindications

Diabetic coma.

Composition

1 liter of solution contains:

active substance: dextrose monohydrate (in terms of anhydrous) 50.0 g

excipients: sodium chloride 0.26 g water for injection up to 1 liter.

Theoretical osmolarity: 286 mOsm / l.

Dosage and administration

Glucose is administered iv, the dose and mode of administration are individual.

Side effects

Fever, hypervolemia, the development of infection and thrombophlebitis at the injection site of Glucose, extravasation.

Storage conditions
