Indications
Hypoglycemia, carbohydrate malnutrition, toxicoinfection, intoxication in liver diseases (hepatitis, dystrophy and liver atrophy, including liver failure), hemorrhagic diathesis, dehydration (vomiting, diarrhea, postoperative collapse).
As a component of various blood-replacing and anti-shock fluids for the preparation of drug solutions for iv administration.
Contraindications
Hyperglycemia, diabetes mellitus, hyperhydration, postoperative disorders of glucose utilization, hyperosmolar coma, hyperlactacidemia.
Precautions - severe heart failure, pulmonary edema, oliguria, anuria, hyponatremia.

Dosage and administration of
In adults with normal metabolism, the daily dose of glucose administered should not exceed 4-6 g / kg / day, i.e. about 250-450 g / day (with a decrease in metabolic rate, the daily dose is reduced to 200-300 g), while the volume of injected fluid is 30-40 ml / kg / day.
For parenteral nutrition, along with fats and amino acids, 6 g of Glucose / kg / day are administered on the first day, followed by up to 15 g / kg / day. When calculating the dose of glucose with the introduction of 5 and 10% solutions, it is necessary to take into account the permissible volume of injected liquid: for children with a mass of 2-10 kg - 100-165 ml / kg / day, children weighing 10-40 kg - 45-100 ml / kg / day.
Side effects
Fever, hypervolemia, the development of infection and thrombophlebitis at the injection site of Glucose, extravasation.
Storage conditions
