Pharmacological action
Bepanten is a preparation for external use that improves trophism and tissue regeneration.
Dexpanthenol, the active substance of the drug Bepanten, quickly turns into pantothenic acid in the skin cells, which is an integral part of coenzyme A and plays an important role in both the formation and healing of damaged skin integuments, it stimulates skin regeneration and normalizes cellular metabolism.
Indications
- prevention and treatment of dry skin in case of violation of the integrity of the skin
- care of the mammary glands during feeding: treatment of dry nipples and painful cracks
- prevention and treatment of diaper rash in infants
- activation of the healing process, minor skin damage mild burns, abrasions, skin irritations, erythema from the diaper, with chronic ulcers, pressure sores, cracks, as well as skin grafts and cervical erosion.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Bepanten ointment can be used during pregnancy and during breastfeeding, if indicated.
Composition of
1 g of ointment contains:

Dosage and administration
Applied externally. Bepanten ointment is applied to a damaged or inflamed area of the skin 1-2 times a day.
Breast care for nursing mothers: ointment is applied to the nipples after each feeding.
Care for the baby: ointment is applied with each change of the diaper (diaper).
Side effects
Allergic reactions:
urticaria, pruritus.
Overdose
Dexpanthenol, even at high doses, is well tolerated and does not cause any undesirable effects.
No cases of overdose have been reported to date.
The cases of hypervitaminosis are unknown.

Pharmacological action
Bepanten is a preparation for external use that improves trophism and tissue regeneration.
