DESCRIPTION
Detox (Detox) - solution for injection is used as an antitoxic, anti-inflammatory and desensitizing agent for animals. In appearance, the drug is a clear liquid from colorless to yellow.

COMPOSITION
Detox in 1 ml contains sodium thiosulfate - 199.3 mg as active ingredients, low molecular weight polyvinylpyrrolidone - 50 mg, and sodium dithionite, sodium bicarbonate, nipagin, water for injection as auxiliary substances.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Pharmacotherapeutic group of the drug: other drugs. Antidotes.
When administered parenterally, sodium thiosulfate exhibits antitoxic, anti-inflammatory and desensitizing effects. It has antidote properties in relation to aniline, benzene, iodine, copper, mercury, hydrocyanic acid, mercuric chloride, phenols. When interacting with exogenous compounds of arsenic, mercury and lead, forms their non-toxic sulfites. When poisoned with hydrocyanic acid or its salts, forms less toxic thiocyanate compounds. Polyvinylpyrrolidone, possessing pronounced adsorption properties, forms complexes with various substances of protein origin, including toxins and toxic substances, neutralizing the latter. It normalizes the permeability of cell membranes, as a result of which the electrolyte composition is restored and the function of the liver and kidneys is restored, urine output increases, enzymatic processes and protein synthesis are restored, the activity of the central nervous and endocrine systems is normalized. The maximum concentration of the drug in the blood plasma after intravenous administration is observed after 15-30 minutes. Detox is excreted from the body by the kidneys. Detox, according to the degree of impact on the body, is classified as low-hazard substances (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.07).
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Detox is used in large and small ruminants, horses, pigs, dogs, cats as part of the complex treatment of diseases associated with intoxications of various origins (postoperative, oncological, in connection with renal and liver failure); feed poisoning; acetonuria; infectious and viral diseases occurring with intoxication; mycotoxicosis; bedsores; metabolic disorders.
The drug is administered to large and small ruminants, horses, dogs, cats slowly intravenously or subcutaneously, intramuscularly to pigs at a dose of 1 ml per 10 kg of animal weight once a day for 5 days. Cattle, horses are injected subcutaneously into the same place no more than 20 ml.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
The peculiarities of the action of the drug during its first use and cancellation were not revealed.
Skipping the next dose of the drug should be avoided, as this can lead to a decrease in therapeutic efficacy. If one dose is missed, the use of the drug is resumed in the same dosage and according to the same scheme.
The use of the drug Detox does not exclude the use of other drugs.
Products of animal origin after the introduction of Detox to the animal is used without restrictions.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
A contraindication to the use of Detox is the individual hypersensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug, as well as cardiovascular failure.
Contraindications and peculiarities of use for pregnant animals, animals during lactation, offspring of animals have not been established.
SIDE EFFECTS
When using Detox in accordance with this instruction, side effects and complications are usually not observed. The introduction of the drug at an increased rate can cause a decrease in blood pressure, tachycardia, difficulty breathing. In this case, the introduction of Detox is stopped and symptomatic therapy is prescribed.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
The shelf life of the medicinal product, subject to storage conditions, is 2 years from the date of manufacture. After the first opening of the bottle, the drug can be used within 10 days, subject to the specified storage conditions.
Store Detox in closed manufacturer's packaging in a dry place protected from direct sunlight, separately from food and feed, at a temperature of 5 В° C to 25 В° C.
PACKAGING
The drug is produced in 100 ml packaged glass bottles of appropriate capacity, sealed with rubber stoppers, reinforced with aluminum caps. Each package is supplied with instructions for use.
