DESCRIPTION

Dehinel plus is a complex anthelmintic drug for oral administration. In appearance, the drug is a round, biconvex, yellow to greenish-yellow tablet, soluble in water, weighing 658 mg.

COMPOSITION

In 1 tablet, 150 mg of febantel, 144 mg of pyrantel embonate and 50 mg of praziquantel are used as active ingredients, and corn starch, lactose monohydrate, povidone, sodium lauryl sulfate, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silicon are used as auxiliary components.

PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT

Dehinel Plus has pronounced nematicidal and trematocidal properties.

Febantel, which is part of the drug, belongs to the group of probenzimidazoles, is moderately absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, and is biotransformed in the liver. Febantel derivatives in nematodes cause inhibition of tubulin protein synthesis and impairment of microtubular function, at the same time inhibit the activity of fumarate reductase, which is a key enzyme in the energy metabolism of helminths, and stop the transport and absorption of glucose, which causes the death of sensitive helminths. It is active against nematodes of the genera Ancylostoma, Uncinaria, Toxosara, Toxascaris, Trichocephalus.

Pyrantel embonate belongs to the group of pyrimidines, is very poorly absorbed after oral administration and exerts its effect mainly in the gastrointestinal tract of dogs. Possesses a wide spectrum of nematicidal action. It blocks neuromuscular impulse transmission in nematodes and causes paralysis of the helminth muscles, paralyzed helminths are removed from the host's gastrointestinal tract by peristalsis. It is active against nematodes of the genera Ascaris, Toxascaris, Ancylostoma, Uncinaria and others.

Praziquantel belongs to the group of pyrazinisoquinolines, when administered orally, it is very quickly and almost completely absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, after absorption in the gastrointestinal tract it passes through the liver and is excreted in the bile unchanged. It damages the trematode membrane and causes spastic paralysis of the muscles of the parasites. DOSAGE AND METHOD OF APPLICATION

Dehinel Plus is used for dogs individually by mouth, once in the morning feeding at the rate of 1 tablet 658 mg per 10 kg of body weight, large dogs can use tablets of 2310 mg per 35 kg of animal weight:

Before using the drug, a fasting diet and the use of laxatives are not required. In cases of intense infection with helminths, animals are recommended to reapply the drug after 14 days at the same dose. SIDE EFFECTS

In sensitive animals, in rare cases, individual signs of intolerance to the components of the drug are possible.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Increased individual sensitivity to drug components. It is not allowed to use the drug in puppies in the first three weeks of life and pregnant females in the first two thirds of puppies. Dehinel Plus should not be prescribed simultaneously with piperazine derivatives, levamisole, organophosphorus compounds and other drugs with cholinergic action.
