PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Decta-2 belongs to the combined antibacterial drugs. The combination of active components included in the preparation provides its bactericidal, anti-inflammatory and anti-allergenic effect.
Gentamicin sulfate is an antibiotic of the aminoglycoside group, active against most gram-negative and some gram-positive bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The mechanism of its bactericidal action is based on the inhibition of peptide bonds during protein synthesis in the ribosomes of a bacterial cell.
Dexamethasone sodium phosphate belongs to the group of synthetic analogs of glucocorticoids, has the ability to inhibit inflammation and allergic reactions of both immediate and delayed types.
When instilled into the conjunctival cavity, the drug easily penetrates into the tissues of the eye, providing a stable therapeutic level of active ingredients.
Dekta-2, according to the degree of impact on the body, belongs to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4 in accordance with GOST 12.1.07-76), in the recommended doses it does not have a local irritating and sensitizing effect.
