DESCRIPTION

Dana Ultra spray is used in dogs and cats from 10 weeks of age for the treatment and prevention of entomoses caused by fleas, lice and lice, as well as to protect animals from the attack of ixodid ticks and dipterans.

COMPOSITION

International non-proprietary name: fipronil, cyfluthrin.

Dosage form: solution for external use.

Dana Ultra spray contains in 1 ml of active ingredients: fipronil - 5 mg and cyfluthrin - 0.5 mg, as well as auxiliary substances: glycerin, citric acid, polyethylene glycol-400, Vanilla perfume, purified water and isopropyl alcohol.

In appearance, the drug is a transparent from colorless to yellowish liquid.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

The active components included in the preparation provide its wide spectrum of insectoacaricidal action against the preimaginal and imaginal phases of development of fleas (Ctenocephalides canis, Ctenocephalides felis), lice (Linognatus setotus), whip eaters (Trichodectes canis), sarcoptoids (Sarcopes vulp canis , Otodectes cynotis, Psoroptes cuniculi) and ixodids (Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes scapularis, Dermacentor variabilis) ticks, as well as the repellant action against dipterans (Tabitrans), including mites mosquitoes (Culicidae) and midges (Simuliidae).

Fipronil is a compound of the phenylpyrosol group, the mechanism of action of which is to disrupt the passage of chlorine ions in the GABA-dependent receptors of ectoparasites, which leads to impaired transmission of nerve impulses, paralysis and death of arthropods.

Cyfluthrin belongs to the group of synthetic pyrethroids, has a contact insectoacaricidal effect, blocking the transmission of nerve impulses and causing paralysis and death of arthropods, as well as a long-term repellent effect against mosquitoes, midges, horseflies and flies.

PURPOSE

Dana Ultra spray is used in dogs and cats from 10 weeks of age for the treatment and prevention of entomoses caused by fleas, lice and lice, as well as to protect animals from the attack of ixodid ticks and dipterans.

APPLICATION

The processing of animals is carried out in the open air or in a well-ventilated area with open windows (vents), away from open fire.

Before treating the animal, shake the bottle with the preparation and, pressing the spray head, direct it to the surface to be treated from a distance of 10 - 20 cm.To kill and scare away insects and prevent animal bites with ixodid ticks, spray the entire body of the animal against hair growth, slightly moistening the wool ( in animals of long-haired breeds, the coat is lifted by hand). Covering the eyes of the animal, the ears and neck are treated.

The dose of the drug, depending on the weight of the animal and the state of the coat, is from 1 to 2 ml per kg of the animal (respectively 2 to 4 pressings on the spray head). To destroy ixodid ticks on the body of the animal, the drug is applied to the tick and the place of its attachment to the skin (1 press on the spray head). If within 20 - 30 minutes the tick does not spontaneously fall off, it is carefully pulled out with tweezers and destroyed. The protective effect of the drug after treatment of animals against fleas and other insects lasts up to 8 weeks, against ixodid ticks up to 4 weeks, the repellent effect against dipterans for up to 10 days.

In order to prevent re-infestation by fleas, litters, blankets and other animal care items are sprayed at the rate of 2 ml (4 presses on the spray head) per 1 m2 of the treated surface. For three days, do not allow the animal to come into contact with the treated items, and before further use they are washed (washed) with a detergent.

To prevent licking of the drug, the animal immediately after treatment is put on a neck collar, a muzzle, or the jaws are fixed with a loop of braid, which are removed after the wool has dried. Until the coat is completely dry, the animal should not be allowed near an open fire or heating devices, as well as wash and bathe within 48 hours after treatment. Avoid placing the animal in direct sunlight for 24 hours after treatment.

After applying the drug to the skin of an animal, its active components, practically not absorbed into the systemic circulation, are quickly distributed over the surface of the body, accumulate in the epidermis, hair follicles and sebaceous glands, providing a long-term contact insectoacaricidal and repellent effect. The duration of the protective action of the drug against fleas, lice and lice is 6 - 8 weeks, against ixodid ticks - 3 - 4 weeks, repellent action against Diptera insects - 3 - 5 days. Dana Ultra spray, according to the degree of impact on the body, is classified as a moderately hazardous substance (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007-76), in recommended doses it does not have a skin irritant, resorptive toxic and sensitizing effect, when it gets into the eyes it causes slight irritation. CONTRAINDICATIONS

A contraindication to use is an individual intolerance to the components of the drug to animals (including a history). Weakened, emaciated, sick with infectious diseases and recovering animals cannot be processed. Auricular use of the drug (for ear scabies) is not allowed when the tympanic membrane is perforated. Do not apply the drug to damp and / or damaged skin.

SIDE EFFECTS

In case of an overdose of the drug, the animal may experience excessive salivation, muscle tremors, and vomiting. In this case, the drug is washed off with water and detergent and general measures are applied to remove it from the body. At the first use of the drug, in rare cases, the animal has anxiety or depression, rapidly passing lacrimation and hypersalivation. Pregnant, lactating females, as well as puppies and kittens under 10 weeks of age cannot be processed. If the recommended interval is not observed when treating the animal, the use of the drug should be resumed as soon as possible at the same dosage according to the same scheme.

PRECAUTIONS

When working with Dana Ultra spray, you should follow the general rules of personal hygiene and safety measures provided for when working with medicines. Smoking, drinking and eating are not allowed during work. After finishing work, wash your hands with warm water and soap. Treatment of animals with Dana Ultra spray should be carried out using rubber gloves and a respirator (gauze bandage). For 48 hours after treatment, the animal should not be stroked or allowed near small children.

FIRST AID MEASURES

In case of accidental contact of the drug with the skin or mucous membranes of the eyes, they should be rinsed with plenty of water. People with hypersensitivity to the drug's components should avoid direct contact with Dana Ultra spray. SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE

Store the drug in the manufacturer's sealed packaging, away from heating devices and open flames, in a place protected from direct sunlight, separately from food and feed, at a temperature from 0 В° C to 25 В° C. Store Dana Ultra spray out of the reach of children.

Shelf life, subject to storage conditions, is 2 years from the date of production. It is forbidden to use Dana Ultra spray after the expiration date.
