PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
The antiparasitic collar Dana Ultra belongs to the combined antiparasitic drugs.
The active ingredients with different mechanisms of action, which are part of the preparation, gradually stand out from the surface of the tape, provide a wide range of its antiparasitic activity against larval and mature phases of development of fleas, lice, and lice. ixodid, sarcoptoid mites and nematodes of the gastrointestinal tract (Toxocara spp. Toxascaris spp., Trichuris vulpis and Ancylostoma spp.), parasitizing in dogs and cats.
Fipronil and pyriproxyfen, practically not absorbed through the skin, are gradually distributed over the surface of the animal's body, accumulate in the epidermis, hair follicles, sebaceous glands and have a long-term contact insectoacaricidal effect.
The mechanism of action of fipronil is to disrupt the passage of chlorine ions in the GABA-dependent receptors of arthropods, which leads to impaired transmission of nerve impulses, paralysis and death of ectoparasites.
Pyriproxyfen, disrupting the processes of chitin synthesis and larval molting, prevents the development of full-fledged pupae and causes the death of insects in the preimaginal phases of development, which leads to the termination of the replacement of the ectoparasite population.
Ivermekin has contact and systemic insectoacaricidal and nematodicidal effects, accumulates in the epidermis and subcutaneous tissue, is partially absorbed, enters the systemic circulation, and when licked by animals from the body surface into the gastrointestinal tract.
The mechanism of action of ivermectin is its effect on the magnitude of the current of chlorine ions through the membranes of the nerve and muscle cells of the parasite. The main targets are glutamate-sensitive chlorine channels and gamma-aminobutyric acid receptors. A change in the current of chlorine ions disrupts the conduction of nerve impulses, which leads to paralysis and death of parasites.
Antiparasitic collar Dana Ultra according to the degree of impact on the body refers to substances 'moderately hazardous' (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007-76), is well tolerated by dogs and cats, does not have a local irritant and resorptive-toxic effect.
The drug is toxic to rabbits and birds. bees, as well as fish and other aquatic organisms.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Antiparasitic collar Dana Ultra is used in dogs and cats for the treatment and prevention of arachno-entomoses caused by fleas, lice, lice, ixodid ticks, as well as for the prevention of otodectosis and nematodes of the gastrointestinal tract.
After opening the package, the collar is unfolded and put on the animal, adjusting in size so that a gap of 1.0-1.5 cm remains between the animal's neck and the collar, then the free end of the tape is passed through the loops of the retainer and the excess tape is cut off.

In case of an overdose of the drug, some animals may experience depression, vomiting, and muscle tremors. In this case, the collar should be removed and symptomatic therapy given to the animal.
If parts of the collar accidentally get inside and symptoms of poisoning appear (depression, vomiting, indigestion, muscle tremors), the animal is prescribed symptomatic therapy.
