Pharmacological action
CHROMOGEXAL 2% NASAL SPRAY - anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory drug.
Mast cell membrane stabilizer. It blocks the entry of ions into the mast cell, preventing its degranulation and the release of mediators of allergies and inflammation (histamine, bradykinin, prostaglandins, leukotrienes and other biologically active substances). Prevents the manifestation of allergic reactions of an immediate type.
Indications
Prevention and treatment of acute and chronic allergic keratoconjunctivitis (hay fever, spring keratoconjunctivitis).
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to cromoglicic acid or other components of the drug CromoHexal.
Special instructions
In addition to the above adverse reactions, when cromoglycemic acid is prescribed for inhalation, they are described (a causal relationship has not been proven): 1 out of 10 thousand patients have angioedema, bronchospasm, cough, dizziness, dysuria (including increased frequency of urination), headache, arthralgia, swelling of the joints, swelling of the larynx, lacrimation, nausea, nasal congestion, rash, swelling of the parotid salivary glands, urticaria.
Reported in 1 out of 100 thousand patients - anemia, exfoliative dermatitis, hemoptysis, hoarseness, myalgia, nephropathy, periarteritis, pericarditis, peripheral neuritis, photodermatitis, polymyositis, pulmonary infiltrates with eosinophilia. There were no reports of such effects when using forms for intranasal use.
Therapy should be continued throughout the duration of the allergen.
If irritation or burning of the nasal mucosa persists or intensifies, discontinuation of treatment is necessary.
Composition
Active ingredient: disodium salt of cromoglicic acid.
Other components: benzalkonium chloride, EDTA, sodium chloride, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium monohydrogen phosphate, sorbitol, water for injection.
Dosage and administration of
Intranasally, for adults and children - 1 dose in each nostril 4 times a day (if necessary - up to 6 times a day).
Side effects
Possible: rarely - mild irritation in the nose very rarely - headache, temporary disturbance in taste perception in isolated cases - nosebleeds, irritation of the nasal mucosa, swelling of the tongue, larynx, hoarseness, severe generalized anaphylactic reactions with bronchospasm, cough and choking.
In the presence of severe side effects, as well as complaints not listed above, the patient should consult a doctor.
Storage conditions
Store the drug at a temperature not exceeding 25 РC.
