SofLens 59" - soft contact lenses for a month, daily wear from Bausch & Lomb.
The predecessors of the Soflens 59 lenses were the earlier Soflens Comfort lenses.
These lenses should not be confused with the Soflens 66, which have a number of differences and are currently discontinued.
Lenses are made of hilafilcon B material by polymerization. It is a Group 2 FDA hydrogel material. The moisture content of the lenses is 59% they have an elastic modulus average for similar materials. A distinctive feature of this material is its high resistance to protein deposits, which provides greater comfort for wearing the lens. The UniFit technology used in the production process gives an even distribution of the lens mass, which improves the clarity of vision, decreases the edge thickness and ensures a smooth transition to the asymmetric zone. This makes it comfortable to wear and makes it easier to take off and put on.
Due to their low price and ease of handling, "Soflens 59" lenses are positioned as "beginners" contact lenses.
They are intended for the correction of myopia and hyperopia.
Considering that contact lenses require slightly less optical power to correct myopia than glasses, soft contact lenses "Soflens 59" can be used in case of myopia up to -10-12 diopters.
